Set in Puno, near Bus Station and San Antonio Church, MADA Guest House Puno "Hospedaje" is a recently renovated property, featuring, a terrace and shared lounge. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We were able to leave our bags for the day even though we didn’t have the room anymore. Breakfast was included and was very good with fresh ingredients.

Situated 4.6 km from Estadio Enrique Torres Belon, Vip Flotante offers accommodation with a patio. the family was great, they were so friendly and generours to have us with them. Only Lina was able to speak English but nevertheless we were able to communicate with the husband and the kids. Lina is a great cook and she served us traditional food (simple). When we needed a lift they were always on time. The loft is nice and the best part of it is the balcony. The shower has hot water.

The rooms with the view directly on the lake are exceptional, so is the host family. We had such a great time. Manuel and his girlfriend helped us to get to the island and I never met a more friendly family. They helped us with the altitude sickness by providing coca tea at our arrival and showed us the neighbor islands on a personal boat trip. The breakfast was amazing and prepared with a lot of heart. At night it can get pretty cold, but the shower is hot. Would totally recommend for people who want to experience the life of the Uros.

Providing inner courtyard views, Taquile Hospedaje Mario in Huillanopampa offers accommodation and a garden. With garden views, this accommodation features a patio. The property is located 1 minute walk to the main square of Taquile Island and it is extremely clean with nice and big bedrooms. I would like to thank Mario our host that took extremely good care of us: he assisted our arrival on the island and then walked with us around showing the Inca ruins (an unique experience no tour will do) and then came with us to the new boat pick up point. Before finishing this review, I would like to stress that this property is a true experience of life with the community on Taquile island. Please do not book here if you look just for classic tourist hotel style because this is NOT what you will find. A few suggestions for prospective travelers: - bring with you a disposable battery for phone cause in the island there is no classic electrical outlets in the homes - ask Mario to give you contacts for booking speed boat tickets (kollasuyo agency) cause all the tour are 1 day and is difficult to find the way back - enjoy the spirit of taquile and its community with no Wi-Fi with an open mind We truly loved this experience, chatting with Mario and his wife and eating with them. I highly recommend this beautiful stay in such a special spot, it is not everyday that you wake up on a floating island surrounded by a beautiful lake. Joel & his wife Luz were extremely helpful & welcoming from day 1. I arrived on Sunday evening from Cuzco (Peru Rail) and Joel arranged a taxi to pick me up from the station to the small port (15soles) where he picked me up on his boat. The room is massive and beautifully decorated with glass windows. They prepared a nice dinner and gave me a hot water bottle as it’s very chilly at night although you have plenty of duvets and blankets and a heater to keep you warm. The next morning I woke up to a beautiful scenery and Joel and Luz lent me the traditional custom and took me around the totora boat to show me some of the other islands, the local school and they medical center (the doctors come only twice a week so for emergencies they have to head to Puno). We also stopped to collect some fish from his fishing net which was their lunch that day. I was initially planning on staying one night only however as Joel explained to me the story of the islanders, how they live and the very welcoming expedience I extended my trip by an extra night. If you want to experience the real Uros lifestyle, with a very welcoming family this is the one for you!

Carlos and his family were very friendly. we really felt at home and they helped us with everything (trips, transfers etc.) I would highly recommend this place if you want to visit lake titicaca. he also thought us about their culture and the place itself is really amazing and calm.
