The best thing about the property is the location. I am a birdwatcher. This is prime birding area in the Carara/Tarcoles region. Until now you will only hear of Cerro Lodge as a recommendation by birders. This is a cheap, value-for-money alternative for those looking to bird on a tight budget in this area. The rooms are OK, nothing much to praise there. But the property is secluded. If there are no other tourists you can have the open pool to yourself. My friend and I enjoyed relaxing there in the evening. The owner is friendly and stayed in touch to ensure we were OK.
