“Better than we expected. Buildings and décor were very cool and fit the "Viking" theme in a tasteful way. Staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and clean, food was good. We stayed in a unit not connected to the main hotel and it was worth a little extra for more space and privacy. Good location between Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon/Airport, for our last night in Iceland. Overall we were very happy!”
“The location was great we rented a car and drove around but their is a bus stop for tours right outside their doors. The staff was outstanding they helped us with directions bookings whatever we needed! This would be my pick on a return visit. As well they gave the whole Viking thing going on which is Icelands history!”
“Fantastic rustic Viking hotel, great location and very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Nice comfortable bedroom. Good parking. Great place to stay as a base for exploring the wonders of Iceland. Entering the hotel and breakfast area is like stepping back in time, but the facilities are very modern and good.”
“Friendly staff, always a smile! The Viking Village is a favorite on all our Iceland travels.Enjoy the art and hand crafted jewelry in the lobby. Have a hearty Viking meal , a toast of Brennivin and savor the moment.”
“The Hotel Viking is a great place to get a taste for the Viking traditions and culture that were once the Icelandic way of life. It is also a fun place to visit for all the family. The staff dress up in traditional Viking attire, and interact with the guests as Viking characters. This visit was the fourth time I have stayed there, and I've enjoyed it every time.”
