The town lacks any notable features and is not particularly attractive. Our stop here was to break a long journey north from Alesund to Tromso, so Steinkjer was a reasonable location to do so. I'd recommend a stay here on this basis.

Hotel staff is very helpful and service minded. And you make your own waffle cakes in the reception between 16.00-22.00hrs. And you have cold supper from 19.00-22.00 hrs. Hotelrooms have a standar lay out and they have been refurbished. Beds are good and you will feel re-freshed after a good night sleep. Will stay here again,thats for sure.

The free dinner is included in the price and it consists of 2-3 main courses and cold starters. Cold starters were ok but none of the main courses was good or tasty.
