This holy city is located in western Saudi Arabia and is also known as Makkah. It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam to make a pilgrimage here, and therefore is a destination for millions of Muslims each year. Prophet Muhammad was born here and it is a sacred place for Muslims and the birthplace of Islam.
Non-muslims are not permitted into Mecca and the government of Saudi Arabia issues special visas for people making the pilgrimage. Most people coming to the Mecca will enter via the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah is the gateway to the city.
The Hajj has a fairly set itinerary including a visit to the Sacred Mosque, al-Masjid al-Haram, built around the Kaaba. Mecca contains many restaurants with varied cuisine and tea shops are available for light refreshments such as traditional tea and cookies. There are also many juice stands for a little refreshment amid the heat. Ranging from luxury hotels to basic accommodation, Booking.com offers over 80 hotels for your time in Mecca.
“Everything from the time I landed in Jeddah until I took off. The main reason was to perform the umrah and spend as much time as possible in both grand masjids. Alhamdulillah this hotel and the rest of them near haram are priceless. Some brothers complain about carpets, furniture, beds, wifi and so on.....I pray to Allah(s.w.t) to keep the people of both the holy masjids in good imaan and health so that they keep serving the hujjaj. This hotel is awesome, 5 minutes to haram and thats all I was hoping. Alhamdulillah hotel, staff, rooms, food and the service was beyond any praise or appreciation. If any brother just want to enjoy staying close to haram go for this hotel.”
“Free parking Cleanliness Welcoming reception”

“-everything is very positive in this hotel, and it is very difficult to figure out any defect. - The staff is very smiley, helpful and welcoming all the guests. - The lobby is nice and the external is beautiful as well. - This hotel is newly opened in last Ramadan and that's why you can find every thing in your room is new and never consumed. - The breakfast buffet is good and of a variety of different kinds of food.”
“Location is conveniently close to the Holy mosque, food and shops. Only needed to travel in one lift to get to room unlike other hotels in Clock Tower complex. Clean and well maintained room. Everything worked.”
“Small touches such as free tea/coffee and fruit bowl. Very easily accessible. No need to change elevators/lifts unlike in Clock Tower complex. Can get from parking below to hotel lobby directly.”
“Excellent staff though-out the hotel- from fast check-in, bell-boys, concierge, security guards, housekeeping, restaurant waiters, and chefs. Well appointed rooms with great beds and excellent shower. If you can't get to your most preferred spot in Haram there are so many alternate places to pray- in room, prayer hall on S2, inside Clock Tower Mall, outside Clock Tower on the ramp to Haram.”
“The cleanliness, the location is superb. It's literally connected to the Kaaba. Right next to the Makkah Clock Tower. The Breakfast is the best I've ever had. Just on breakfast and location alone this hotel is more than worth the price.”
“Just came back yesterday. I stayed in a number of hotels while in Mecca but this was the best for everything. I will not stay anywhere else. Its meters from Al-Haram but away from the noise of the clock tower location. AMAZING customer service and nice clean place. BREAKFAST was the best we had in Mecca. A must stay here!!!!!”
