The location was breathtaking and the facilities were top notch. Sitting in the hot tub under the sky was amazing no matter what time of day. This was the perfect place to reset and de-stress. The cabin is well thought out and has everything you need. Bring some food and cook or use the local hotels restaurant and just relax at the cabin.

Set in a 45-acre estate with stunning woodland stretching to the banks of the River Nith, the 19th century Friars Carse Country House Hotel offers 23 bedrooms and cottages and is situated 6 miles from... Ellie provided us with a second room for our daughter as she didn't fit the crib (haha) and also let us in at 1 am as we neglected to get a door key for late return, what a nice lady. All the staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent, beds were great, we will be back. Beautiful grounds and walking trails with a variety of birds to get you up in the morning.

This quiet country house Bed and Breakfast Hotel is set in the south west of Scotland, in The Rhins area of Stranraer, specialising in fresh locally sourced Scottish food. Gorgeous scenic country views, lovely room, delicious breakfast, Bay room windows were a perfect picture frame, comfy beds, and wonderful aesthetic! Would love to come back and stay here longer in the southwest of Scotland!

Situated in Auchencairn, 36 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, Balcary Bay Country House Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. the hotel was lovely. we like the food being all local produce as i come from a farming family . We loved the peace and quiet , just the place to re charge and relax. We fell asleep listening to the waves lapping on the shore. Hope to return next year. Thank you to all the staff and family.

Set in 18 acres of private parkland, Hetland Hall Hotel serves local produce on its Scottish menu. Overlooking the Solway Firth, this hotel also has an outdoor children’s playground. great breakfast, very relaxing even with wedding going on, no noise from other guests

This small, family-run hotel is beautifully situated within 7 acres of mature gardens and woodlands, in a secluded position within a national scenic area near the Solway coast. Lovely old home with spacious rooms. Rooms all had outdoor access doors. Restaurant was great.

With a beautiful rural setting in the spectacular Scottish countryside, this small, family-run hotel is halfway between Lockerbie and Gretna Green, just off the A74(M). Excellent location with pretty views over the countryside...yet not far off the motorway! The room was clean, the staff were approachable and friendly and the overall " vibe" with locals in the bar and restaurant made for a lovely stay. Evening meal was well presented and very tasty...as was the hearty breakfast !

A traditional Scottish country house hotel, Creebridge House is set in 3 acres of grounds, close to Newton Stewart. Local activities include fishing, shooting, golf, cycling and walking. breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal we had there. The bar had a great selection of drinks including some lovely single malt whiskeys The location was ideal as we were travelling over to Ireland on the ferry the next morning.
