We decided not to hire a car and so a taxi cost us about 6000krone from the airport and the next day we bussed into Reykjavik using the public buses. We dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were so well looked after by Roberto. The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast! We were hoping to spot the northern lights while out of the city but weren’t lucky this stay but would definitely return again as the Lighthouse Inn feels like such a treat! The lady on reception when we arrived was an absolute delight as well! You won’t be disappointed by a stay here. The facilities are top notch and a walk around the lighthouses is a must, it’s a peaceful and gorgeous place to be.

Out of season there is no breakfast offered but you can use the kitchen with a microwave, toaster & fridges. Good coffee in each room & Netflix. The town is the 2nd largest in Iceland with lots of options for dinners & breakfast.
