Great location to local walks and outdoor shops. Plenty of good cafes. Breakfast was very good and well worth adding it to the room each day. The pub is probably the best in the area for local ales and the dinner was also very good.

Had a fantastic two night stay here, everything was so lovely, we felt welcomed and it was a really relaxing environment to act as a base to explore Grasmere. Very comfortable room,.completed to a really high standard. We were even given an upgrade to our room! The breakfast was extensive to a very high standard or organic products, we mentioned we were vegan and the gentleman very kindly cooked extra vegan options for us. The homemade bread was a lovely touch

We absolutely loved the Badger Bar. It was by far the best place we stayed on our trip to the U.K. It's historical, with lovely.decor and extremely clean & comfortable rooms. The bed was comfy, the shower's water pressure was fine. Soap, shampoo & lotions were all provided, as well as coffee, tea, & cookies. The food was great; they serve a wonderful breakfast, with a great variety of choices, all delicious. The dinners served in the pub were fabulous - again, many choices, including the best fish & chips ever, not to mention the desserts! The staff were awesome, so friendly and helpful. And what a great location! Wonderful walks and trails in every direction, & the bus stop just steps away if you need to travel further afield And so much history! Wordsworth lived quite nearby!. Best of all, every night they feed the badgers and you can go out and watch. It was great fun!
