The breakfast and the dinner were game breakers for us. It was lovely to start the day in the dining room then return at the end of the day for a lovely comforting meal. Luxury standards are clearly what the hotel aims for and largely achieves. There's a little of the 'standard hotel' feel in the corridors sometimes but the artwork shows an attempt to beat that. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was huge with fantastic view towards the sea. Breakfast was generous and diverse, dinner options good.

The location never stopped surprising us. The artwork in the main building was an unexpected treat. The upstairs bar made me double check what we had actually paid for the stay because the decor and architecture was so luxurious - fit for a queen! The outdoor space with kayaks and bicycles were a lovely optional extra. There were deer in the forest and the sunsets (that last for hours in spring) over the water were incredible. The beds were lovely and floofy and the additional lounge area was wonderful to expand into after our smaller Stockholm hotels. The staff were also super chatty and gave us a lot of their time which we enjoyed immensely. There is also a parking lot outside where we could recharge our rental vehicle with an app to pay for the charge. We had a wonderful time and wish we had stayed there longer. We stayed for 2 nights, checked out and stayed for most of the day at the restaurant over looking the water and chatting.
