Best Western Hotel at 108, hotel in Stockholm

Best Western Hotel at 108 features a fitness centre, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Stockholm. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space.

Our room was below the ground level, it had no window, no natural light, it was wet and dark. Vast majority of the rooms are under the ground and about this important feature of the hotel booking is silent. We were shocked and frustrated when faced with it. I definitely do not reccommend to stay in that hotel!

A Natural Beauty

Modern Stockholm is uniquely made up of 30% waterways and another 30% of parks and green spaces. It’s spread across 14 islands and is both one of the world’s cleanest and most charming capitals.

Stockholm’s famously huge number of museums includes the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, the Moderna Museet and the Spritmuseum. City Hall hosts the famous Nobel Prize banquet and the Vasamuseet hosts the 300 year old Vasa warship.

The city’s past can be felt in Gamla Stan – Stockholm’s stunning Old Town with medieval layout, cobblestone streets and the Baroque-style Royal Palace. Designer Swedish clothes and interior decorations abound in the many unique stores throughout the city.

Whether you fly to Arlanda, Bromma, Skavsta or Västerås Airports, the city centre can be reached by either train or airport coach. Booking.com offers a wide choice of accommodations for your Stockholm holiday, from modern hotels, to unique botels and affordable hostels.

We took a full day archipelago trip with Stromma - great!

We took a full day archipelago trip with Stromma - great! I recommend at least one trip by boat - there are a lot of cheap ferries to choose from. One fare takes you a long way. We also took a trip to see the Viking remains at Sigtuna - well worth while. The guides on both trips were very enthusiastic and highly recommended. The palace is worth at least half a day, and the Vasa museum is great to visit. We missed seeing the parliament, though. Just wandering round the Old Town is perfect, and a drink by the habour was a great end to the day.

    We loved Stockholm.

We loved Stockholm. The public transport is so joined up you can get anywhere by train, bus, tram or boat. We did the touristy stuff like vasa and Abba and the royal palace but we also went off the beaten track and found the 1912 Olympic stadium and the tennis club where Bjorn Borg had learnt his trade. The old town was beautiful, the changing of the guards a real treat. Everywhere you can hear Abba playing. It is an expensive destination, so be aware, but if you plan you can do a visit on a budget.

Beautiful city but very expensive, particularly for food and drink. Most people speak English so easy to communicate. Plenty to see and do. Loads of museums to visit including ABBA museum. The city is surrounded by wonderful scenery and stunning islands. Easy to take a ferry to one of the islands to explore. Great city to visit but you will need to budget for the high cost of staying here.

A beautiful, interesting city with attentive people.

A beautiful, interesting city with attentive people. Beautiful architecture, the opportunity to choose from many attractive places for tourists (Gamla Stan, various museums, impressive metro stations, etc.) It is easy to travel around the area, but at the central station we missed directions on how to get to metro lines 10, 11. Above we saw markings for lines 13, 14, but there was no information that 10, 11 was in the same direction (just below). But here, everyone we just asked spoke English perfectly, so we clarified everything verbally. I would love to come back.

Lovely place. Keeping its historical buildings.

Lovely place. Keeping its historical buildings. With lots of cafes and eateries around. Flowers in streets. The Swedes know how to relax and enjoy summer. Pleasant temperatures even a bit cold for Australians. Was only a few degrees warmer than our winter. Plenty of things to do and see. Would recommend 3 day gocity pass. Abba Museum is missing for list of attractions but worth the visit (2-3 hours) op on hop off bus by Stromma was not worth it as started at 10am and finished at 5pm. Redsightseeing bus that goes to 6:30pm seems better option but we did not actually use it. Was good to get our bearings on the city by going around on bus. We intend to go back to Stockholm at some stage as we think there is another week of activity for us,

The Hotel Rival is a very fun hotel in an excellent part of Stockholm. very close to the metro line but easy to walk into the old part of town as well, and is very close to great restaurants and nightlife. The hotel itself has great sized rooms well decorated, and even though there is a theatre connected to the hotel you couldn't hear it at all!
