“The hotel is a converted mansion with a lot of charm and it is beautifully decorated. The room was spacious and recently updated. We really liked the indoor pool and tepidarium, good place to relax for a little while. The breakfast spread was incredibly good, and while we didn't eat at the restaurant we certainly wished we had after the experience with breakfast. The charm is certainly in the details with this place, and we loved being greeted by Holly, the resident beagle who roams the halls. Overall a wonderful experience!”

“Peggy the owner was really lovely. She showed us round, had put the heating on and lights on with a welcome bottle of wine. Very well equipped and lovely and clean. As she lived so close she has said if we needed anything then just come and knock and ask. Her comment of "if we don't know your needs we can not fulfil them" was most welcome. We will definetly stay again and recommend to others.”

“The house was lovely and also the location however the advert on booking.com said there was use of a hot tub but there was no information to say we're it was. Paula the host was not there on arrival even though we had emailed to say time of arrival which was dissappointing. This also ment that we were left to fend for ourselves to find the property which is in the middle of the woods and would be impossible to find in the dark. We have a handicapped baby and he feels the cold very easily so we couldn't find anything to say if there was heating. There was an open fire which when lit filled the whole house with smoke and so we had to open all the doors and windows to clear it. At night it was quite cold. The the property is lovely and well equipped. On leaving the host was not around again to give the key back.”
