This is a unique property. It is more like a bed & breakfast than a hotel. That is, the atmosphere is informal, and you have the opportunity to interact with your hosts and the other guests. Our room was extremely comfortable, including a marvelous bed. There are many places to sit from which to enjoy beauty of the natural surroundings. Our host Jane cooked an exquisite meal for us on one of the evenings of our stay.

The owners were extremely accommodating and allowed us to set our own hours as to when breakfast was available. The room was private with its own terrace from which the town of Domme can be seen on top of a hill. The landscaping around the property is very lush and gorgeous in the springtime.

This place was amazing. Literally jaw-dropping. Nothing is overlooked. Gorgeous property, every detail thought of, lush bedding and towels, spacious, immaculate, with views and property that will make you feel like a king and queen. The pool was a godsend as we arrived on the hottest day of the year. It was only one night but hope to come back someday. Communication was easy and timely as well. Host was gracious.

Maison Maleville is a great base to explore the rest of Dordogne. Just being in Domme is the right decision but having a host like Bertrand who is invested in making sure you have a great stay, makes it even better. Get dinner at L'Esplannade with nice views and awesome food. There is a nice market 200 feet away on Thursdays which has local foie gras, cheese and much more.

It is beautiful, lovely gardens, and right across from the gate to the old town. The hosts were so generous and thoughtful. We had a flat tire and they drove us to Lascaux. The breakfasts were the best of our entire trip

The entry to Domme is through an imposing medieval portic. Good restaurants in the city. Francine's guest house at Domme is perfectly placed to explore all the attractions in the Golden Triangle of the Périgord. At the same time it is close, but not in the buzz at Sarlat la Caneda. The towns of Beynac and Cazenac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Cénac-et-Saint Julien, La Roque-Gageac, Vézac and Vitrac are worth exploring + 11 castles not far away. The guest house is quiet, no noises, and has a well equipped kitchen. The town of Domme has a belvedere where we can have amazing views from the river Dordogne, 150 metres below. I post a few pictures only. I could post many more from Domme and the region. But, I do not want to spoil other traveller's discovery of the region. As the region is hilly, many scenic views are granted for those that drive their cars outside the beaten track.

Daniel and Stefan are charming. The breakfast is great - Stefan prepares different types of pastries/breads/crepes every morning and the atmosphere is wonderful :-)
