What we liked the most was expert advice from the owner's son. His suggestions of where to visit in the national park on certain days were spot-on. His knowledge on the area was extremely helpful. He suggested the best order to visit the sites in the park on a certain weather and the roads to take, so that we don't waste our limited time we were there. The owner and his wife were very nice. The breakfast and dinner were very good with local produce. The presentation of the meals was beautifully done. The room we stayed was very quiet.

Quinta da Casa Matilde - NATURE HOUSE se găsește în Geres, la 3 minute de mers pe jos de Sanctuarul São Bento da Porta Aberta, și are cazare cu aer condiționat, WiFi gratuit, balcon, vedere la grădină... The house was very clean and spacious. The surroundings were so peaceful, it was a very relaxing experience. Good location.

Oaspeții au la dispoziție WiFi gratuit în întreaga proprietate. 24th-29th Sept.2022. The property is perfect, great kitchen well equipped and very spacious lounge. Wonderful to sit out in the lawned garden with a view to die for. It is in a great location being 20 minutes drive from major walking trails, 20 minutes drive to town with large supermarket and restaurants and only 20 minutes walk to a cafe/bar. The village is a mixture derelict and occupied cottages. The locals are extremely friendly. Best of all is the owner Deolinda who is an extremely warm, friendly and generous person who supplied not only the basic goods but also cake, biscuits, beer and vegetables from her garden. Of the 3 properties we stay at this was the best and we were very sad to leave and would definitely return. Richard and Eileen

One of the most spectacular scenic settings of any hotel I’ve ever visited- the view out of our bungalow’s glass doorway was unparalleled. And the scenery is matched by the warmth of the owner-hostess, Fernanda: she made us feel so welcome and looked after, insisting we take sandwiches on the super hike she suggested we take to the next door village, Pitoes de Junias. Dinner was also delicious (especially the homemade cured sausage) and we loved feeling so close to the village, which still seems home to many local people who farm the land.
