Our stay at Agriturismo Lunadoro exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect: the location, the grounds (trees, flowers, nature), room comfort, amazing pool, delicious breakfast, and most importantly the friendliest and kindest hosts. Gigliola and her family were extremely welcoming and supportive! We will come back for sure!

Even the breakfast is prepared by myself with various bread , ham & cheese , it is good enough with kitchenette and manual juice crusher is so wonderful. So wonderful location to access all neighbor town and overlooking Pienza is just less than 10 min drive. As it is located in back road, in the night it has less noisy and feel tranquilize night life. And I enjoyed starry night. On the way back hom from Montepulciano, I could enjoy gorgeous sunset nearby Monticchiello & Barbi. Next time I would take a walk in some route of Val D'orcia and Francigena ..

Room and location were perfect for exploring the Val D'Orcia region. Mr.Mino was friendly and accommodating, learn from us as we did not read the full description and Mr. Mino only spoke Italian but we were still able to understand and he was very kind. Room and bathroom were great size for a couple and very clean. The views from the room were amazing! The grounds are well maintained.

Peaceful - there is only 3 apartments in the complex (house) so it feels as if you are on your own. You rarely see other guests in the property. Location - in a nature reserve, so very beautiful. Views are stunning from house. Well placed for day trips around Val de Orcia. Few minutes drive to all major towns in area. But rent a car! Facilities - everything you need to cook your own meal. Views are breathtaking. Washing machine was great. Coffee machine worked well. Comfortable matrass. Special mention to Ramona - our rental car broke down in the country road on our 2nd day. Ramona was SO helpfull and helped us get a local mechanic in the area to come fix the car as Europcar was so useless. Her husband even drove all the way to come check on us, and later Ramona came to fetch us with her own car. They were angels and never asked any questions, they just HELPED. We are so greatfull for their kind hearts and help in our hour of need.

Very nice cozy home. Host was super friendly old farmer (careful, does not speak English :). The house is super big with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, but do not expect new modern equipment or furniture, it is an old farm house, which gives the place the right authenticity and we honestly loved it. The owner offered us fruits from his garden and gave us tips for locals stuff to visit. You definitely need a car to move around, even though it looks super close to city of Monticchiello, you would have to walk on the main street for cars, which could be very dangerous. To Pienza is only around 15 minutes drive (definitely worth going to visit it, my favorite place in whole Tuscany:)

breakfast was excellent Maura was there every morning in a beautiful outdoor glass encased building to cook and provide homemade jams, cakes and more which mostly came from their farm. Provided great help during our stay with advice on how to enjoy Tuscany. Apartment was well stocked with cooking equipment had good beds, seating and great bathroom which all looked very new. Parked in a Covered space and the views were great.

What a beautiful place to stay with stunning views of the rolling Tuscan countryside. A small family run BnB with an intimate setting and some of the best Italian hospitality we've had. Sonia & Giacomo made our visit very special. Sonia is such a kind character, always smiling and nothing was too much to ask. La Pievina is situated 3km outside Montepulciano town which gives the feeling that you are tucked away from it all. A little too far to walk but with taxis or your own car, it's much easier. Taxis cost us about €20 one way into the main Montepulciano town. Breakfast came included and had all the lovely staples of a continental offering. The tomatoes are class. And the oil, cheese and cured meats. The home-made sweet things are lovely too. The room was nicely decorated in a classic tuscan style. The fan on the roof was OK. Mainly what shines is the setting. The infinity pool overlooking the rolling hills is pinch-worthy. We watched the sunset one evening and star gazed the next. All in all, if you want to visit Montepulciano with a little more of a relaxed countryside feel then definitely check out La Pievina and Sonia and Giacomo's fantastic hospitality. It's a place we will remember for a long time.
