If I could evaluate them with a higher grade than only 10, I would. The structure of the house is cozy, beautiful, clean, silent with only nature’s sounds (from the nearby river and leaves) the swimming pool area is charming, the restaurant is amazing (we had breakfast and dinner and it was a fantastic experience) and the couple who manage the place and cook is so kind and helpful! It’s a must to go back! 🥰

The house is very beautiful, the interior and the furniture lets you immerse in the history of the place. However, it was well equipped with all the facilities, needed in the modern life (air conditioning in each room, coffee machine, good WiFi). The host was super friendly and always ready to help. I would definitely recommend the place!

There is absolutely nothing not to like at this location - everything is utterly perfect. The breakfast was outstanding. The feeling is that you just fell into a movie - we are not kidding. Early morning walks through vineyards, supper in the ancient courtyard filled with olive trees - afternoons by the pool surrounded by the terraced hills. Even the decor was lovely. It's beyond wonderful.

Joel went to all lengths to make our stay perfect. We felt extremely welcome and the facilities were ideal for our family. The grounds, the pool and animals were very well kept and the location turned out to be a quiet oasis from which Porto, the Douro valley and Penafiel are easily accessible. Best to have a car.
