Plenty of pubs in the village to have a wonder round, mostly dig friendly ( apart from the Bridge) the locals are very friendly.The food at the Lion was amazing, and I didn't feel like it was just your average pub grub. Roaring open fire, which really had that country pub feel. There are plenty of tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast on Sunday morning is served from 10am and well worth the wait. Staff were great, friendly, and attentive .

This for us as a couple is essential for us when choosing accommodation. Despite being on main road it was quiet and tucked away making it private too. Janine left snacks and some essentials which was much appreciated too. Plenty of instructions for the appliances and heating aswell which was very helpful. Bed was lovely and comfortable and they had a nice big wet room too. We both enjoyed our short break at Woodville Smial.SharonYoung couple

Any special requests were dealt with without hesitation and they all really seemed to care. Very busy night in bar and restaurant but service was excellent throughout. Good atmosphere, dog friendly and delicious food. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and the apartment was adequately equipped, very spacious and clean.

Breakfast was great too with a full menu to chose from (apparently weekend only). We ate there on the evening too which was lovely and there is a nice walk along a river nearby
