England's most northerly hotel, just 300 yards from the Scottish Border, the Marshall Meadows Manor House is set in 15 acres woodland gardens and boasts sea views and good food. Everything from the environment to the restaurant and the bar. Also we got a superior room due to a problem in our first one. Our stay was so good that we have booked already for next year. I need to add that the staff was absolutely great with us, extremely helpful and kind.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, The Reading Rooms is located in Haydon Bridge, 44 km from Theatre Royal and 45 km from Utilita Arena. The host was incredibly nice, he welcomed us and gave us a lift to the hadrian wall path in the car the next morning. The B&B is perfect for walkers, it even has a small closet where we could dry our clothes. The room was very quiet.

Set in Hexham and only 38 km from MetroCentre, Stay On The Hill - The Coach House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. I really enjoyed this stay. The room felt very luxurious and the bed was very comfortable. I had a beautiful garden view as well.

Situated in Bardon Mill, The Bowes Hotel has a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. The rooms have a desk and a TV, and some rooms at the inn have a balcony. The hotel was spotlessly clean and recently refurbished. It is listed in a gorgeous village, close (by car) to Hadrians Wall attractions. Included breakfast is wonderful and the pub restaurant downstairs has good food. It's small and fairly quiet, and a good place to share travel tips with other guests. We loved it!

Set in Cornhill-on-tweed and with The Maltings Theatre & Cinema reachable within 22 km, The Blue Bell Crookham offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast as it was lovely to wake up to and a good start for our journey for the day. Our room was very comfortable.

The Bakehouse B&B is offering accommodation in Seahouses. The property is situated 5 km from Farne Islands. At the guest house, rooms have a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV. everything but especially the wonderful owner.

Set in Newbrough and within 42 km of MetroCentre, Red Lion Inn features a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Great location, great food, great hosts, friendly locals, a really lovely place full of old world character, would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Farne Island Bed and Breakfast in Seahouses provides adults-only accommodation with water sports facilities and a shared lounge. Big room with seating area. Light and airy and very clean. Wine glasses provided, lot's of teas/ coffees/ biscuits as well. Big towels and face cloths too. Just lovely.

Set 3.2 km from Farne Islands, Ugiebrae House Bed & Breakfast offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. An incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Hans is very friendly and knows a lot about the area. He gave me some useful tips. The room was tidy, clean, and confortable. I wish I could have this breakfast every day and of I ever visit the area again, this B&B will be my first choice.

Located in Warenford, 8 km from Bamburgh, White Swan Inn features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Everything. Cannot fault this place. Not the first time we have stayed, and wont be the last. What a gem of a find.
