Located in the centre of Eugendorf, a 15-minute drive from Salzburg, Salzburg Hotel Holznerwirt occupies a historic building dating back to 1390. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff, wonderful breakfast, comfortable room with private bath, idyllic country views, several types of sauna and an outdoor pool included in the fee, e-bikes available for rent-- all added up to a top notch experience. I e-biked to a lake and explored the surrounding area on 1 day, and e-biked to Salzburg on a different day. There's a conveniently located bus stop for a bus every 30 min (except Sun) if you prefer public transportation. I found the public bus was similar quality to a US excursion bus and safe late at night. There's a free app that is worth downloading.

Such a lovely hostess at the breakfast table, patient and caring. We had healthy food in the company of many grazing cows. A piece of paradise on earth.

The Hofbauergut offers rooms with a balcony and satellite TV. It is located in the village of Strobl, just 4 km from Lake Wolfgang. Our room had a very comfortable bed, a mosquito net in the door to the balcony and was cleaned every day! There is an on-site parking space included in the price, as well as a very good breakfast. It is located in a very quiet location near Lake Wolfgangsee. The location is good for getting around with car.
