Nutheim Gjestgiveri is such a special place. From the magical location to the wonderful staff and the rich history, it was truly a memorable experience. Our dinner meal was also outstanding. We vacationed in Norway for 3 weeks and this stay was a highlight.

I loved the history of the place—like a museum. Short drive to Bo or Lunde, Telemark. Torstein and Goril were charming hosts. I plan to return and recommend to my family.

Quiet, historical location allows you to watch the operation of the locks. Having a restaurant on site was a big plus. We had a lovely dinner on the porch, and the breakfast the next morning was just fine. This was good for a one-night stay, but probably wouldn't want to stay longer than that. Location was great to get to Ulefoss or Lunde to go for a canal boat cruise.
