I highly recommend a stay in this truly exceptional French country house. The welcoming hosts greeted us with a bottle of wine and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. The house was extremely well equipped for a comfortable stay, with copious cookware and beautiful serving dishes. The property provided an excellent base for touring the region (Bordeaux, Arcachon beaches, St. Emilion vineyards, prehistoric caves in Dordogne, and Cognac). The property's front and back gardens are very charming, with the back offering fantastic views of the Dordogne River with its mesmerizing tides. The village has a wonderful restaurant, supermarket, and first rate bakery all within walking distance.

The place is really beautiful and has been wonderfully styled. We spent a lot of time outside at the pool, and then relaxing and making dinner. Caroline was a lovely host, and made sure she was available if required.

This is a wonderful property right on the River Dordogne. The host was super nice, and lives on site. Roland truly cared about his guests. We arrived and he came out to meet us. After a short tour of his flower and herb garden, he brought us in and showed the apartment and shared about tourist activities (if you do not speak French he is good with google translate. For anything we needed he was super responsive and his frequent response was "no problem". You will need a car and there are stairs to the upper level sleeping area. All good for us. The unit leads out to a nice yard and the river is a 1 minute walk away. There is a winery next door and the owners are also super friendly. 10 minutes by car to Saint-Émilion and a short drive to the market and restaurants. The location was really nice, the host was one of the best parts of the trip. We would repeat again. Thank you again Roland.
