As a solo female traveler, staying here I felt so safe and at home. The owner and his wife are so utterly sweet and hardworking. The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

The family that owns this accommodation are so kind and accommodating. They stayed up to get us from our train and we were welcomed with tea and cookies. We had the best meals we have had in Sri Lanka here, both breakfasts and dinner. The rooms are in their house, but you still feel like you have your own space. They directed us to a nearby waterfall and tea plantation and also graciously allowed us to stay a bit to wait for our departure train.

From the moment we entered the house the hospitality was absolutely wonderful. The owners were very friendly and kind. We also tried their home cooked breakfast that was absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here

The location, space and beds are perfect. The host has a lot of information regarding the town and things to do. The garden is a lovely area and overlooks the town below.

We liked a lot. Tasty and big breakfast. The owner supported a lot with some issues we had. We recomend it 100%. In addition he is building a new house which so far looks amazing!!

A real local experience, stay with a lovely family, amazing view from the balcony, Wasantha and Chithra were the perfect hosts and really did everything to make the stay unforgettable. Often we had the experience in Sri Lanka that requests were ignored or not completely fulfilled. But here they listened carefully and arranged everything as expected, such as massage, real BBQ, shopping local food with a lot of explanations, Hortons-National-Park. It was an amazing experience.
