Excellent hostel ideally located near the train station in Taitung. They have great bikes for guests free use, I rode one into town and through Taitung Forest Park. Highly recommend the accommodation here, the rooms are very clean and modern and the free breakfast was a nice touch. I made friends here with whom I travelled to Green Island. Stay here and you'll be well on your way to a great visit to Taitung!

Located in Donghe, less than 1 km from Qianqiao Beach, Dulan Tranquilo Hostel都蘭晃輕鬆青年旅舍咖啡館 provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. One of the best places for backpackers in Dulan. Right across from the 7/11. The back room on the 3rd floor is an especially good value, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The owners were extremely friendly. They gave me some Chinese medicine when I was feeling sick and also found my watch that I left behind and mailed it to me. Would def recommend.

叢森 Backpacker Hostel is set in Pai-ching. The air-conditioned accommodation is 5 km from Taitung City. Guests at the homestay can enjoy a vegetarian breakfast. Taitung Airport is 2 km away. The hostel is simple, clean and friendly. The host (Shaun) was so nice. I immediately felt welcome and was introduced to some of the other guests, who I ended up getting dinner with. Any hostel can give you a bed, this one gave me a fantastic experience and some lovely friends. thank you Shaun.

Taitung Ohana Sky Hostel is set in Taitung City, 5.9 km from Taitung Night Market and 1.8 km from Taitung. Ohana hostel is amazing Starmom and Stardad are amazing and so friendly. We really felt part of the family. Besides that the rooms were very comfortable as wel and there was everything we needed. Thank you very much!

Luye Jamie's Guesthouse is located in Luye, 3.6 km from Luye Highland Area and 4.2 km from Chulu Ranch. Every room includes a private bathroom equipped with a shower. This guesthouse is a wonderful private home, run by the fantastic Jamie. Everything here is so well-kept, refined, well-thought-out, comfortable, clean, interesting, spacious and quiet. The atmosphere of this place is extraordinary and soothing. I travel a lot around the world and I definitely give the maximum 10 points. I came here on foot and had a leg injury. I had to stay longer. I stayed for 2 weeks and it was hard to say goodbye. I know I will come back here as if it were a friend's house. The bedrooms are large, the beds are comfortable, everything is very clean. There are several spaces for relaxing together - a living room, a dining room in the large kitchen, and an outdoor terrace. In the living room you can watch movies and the Internet on a large screen. The area is good for walking, great views of rice fields and mountains, and trains passing over the bridge. The train station, a 7-eleven store, a small supermarket and several restaurants are 2 km away. There is a cat in the house that is nice and funny. Everything here is well thought out and organized. I recommend the breakfasts, which are a work of art! Great, large selection of bread (Jamie bakes herself on site), eggs and organic vegetables, fruit. There is a place to park your car, motorbike and bicycle. There are many interesting books. There are local cafes on the nearby plateau, I especially recommend a cafe in an old Japanese house, with a small museum. This place is worth visiting, even if you weren't planning on staying in this area!
