Gum Grove is a special place, a cluster of 10 very small chalets, built in the 1970's nestled in the forest of Warrumbup, also known as Weedon Hill, only 2km from Kwoorabup also known as the Denmark Town Centre. The chalets were built by a Dutch Family in the 1970's, if you like a little bit of character, can appreciate some rustic and upcycled charm and nothing too fancy then this is the place for you. The chalets are small. We would describe them as cosy two bedroom hideaways, tucked in under the trees, they are fully self-contained. Tingle is our largest chalet, Wandoo and Tuart have fully equipped kitchens including full-sized hotplates and ovens. Marri, Karri and Jarrah have small ovens, microwaves, gas hotplates and cooking pots, pans and untensils as well as cutlery and crockery for 4 people. Acacia has electric hotplates, a microwave and cooking pots, pans and untensils as well as cutlery and crockery for 4 people. Guests come to Gum Grove for a simple stay in the forest. To relax in the surrounds of the native bush, explore the many walking trails straight from your doorstep down to the river, ride into town, or walk along the Bibbulmun track. You are only minutes away from one of the best swimming and surfing beaches on the south coast of Western Australia. In no time you will know that this is the place to unwind under the Jarrah and Marri, with a book under the shade on a summers day, or snuggle up and stay cosy by the fire as the rains roll in.

Your hosts Meegan, Brett, and along with our two young children are new to the Grove, we took over stewardship of these chalets and the land they reside on in September 2021.

Gumgrove is a 2 acre property, there are 10 chalets here and the main residents spread out among the trees. There are 5 clusters of chalets. Acacia and Banksia are up the top of the hill closest to the main residence. Followed by Tingle and Jarrah, next to but not facing each other. On the same level is Yate, no longer used as a chalet but a self service Infared Sauna. On the back of Yate is Moort, you will find a caretaker living here from time to time. Then Marri and Karri our 2 Stone chalets are close to the bottom of the Property. At the bottom are Tuart and Wandoo, closest to Ocean Beach Beach Road. Gum Grove is family friendly you will often hear children playing and exploring the bush and walk trails around the chalets.
