Value stay with excellent location and connections.
Breakfast was not well organized and the staff was making it a mess. There was almost nothing to eat in the buffets, no silverware and plates, no coffee/tea. No one took care of the customers and I was told to come back later to have breakfast. It was awful. I could not recall that kind of mess in life - anywhere - seriously! You have to ask for another Access code for wi-fi on daily basis.
A good value.
The wifi was annoying thst you had to go to reception every day to get a new password.
Good breakfast spread
No closet; clothes rail that can fit 4-5 hanging items only
The room was a very high standard.
We couldn't have breakfast on saturday morning because the restaurant was full and guests were allowed to hold tables for their friends who were coming later. Staff should have managed this by requesting hotel guests not to hold tables for their friends who were delayed - this would have allowed guests who wanted a quick light breakfast to have it and get on with their day. Instead my partner and I had to leave the hotel to get a coffee. Very bad.
The Alsterhof is extremely well located for some of the best shopping and sightseeing with several U-bahn stations close by. It is metres from the main Gay area of the city which is a massive plus for Gay travellers. The hotel was full all weekend with guests for Folsom and mature hetrosexual couples who just blended well. Augsburger Str is relatively quiet yet 300 metres from KaDeVe. The rooms are of a good size with nice bathroom and beds with spotless linen. Air conditioning and heating is 1st class. Reception staff speak some English which is helpful. Breakfast is self service and a wide choice for all tastes. Effective and rooms safety deposit box in the room. Certainly return to this hotel. The positives far outweigh any negative points.
The is no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. The carpet inside the room door was grubby but otherwise fine. The WiFi signal in my room could have been stronger. It is a bit of a nuisance having to go to reception every day to get a new access code for each device you have. Cleaners opened the room door on two out of four mornings before 1030 without knocking. It should not be necessary to put a 'Do not disturb' ticket on the door whilst you are in the room.
It is ok but not 100% brilliant hotel.
Wifi changed new password everyday....it drive me crazy to go to the reception every morning to get a new password....It's a waste of time....I Bring iPad and iPhone but I can't use it both for wifi - only one. It is no good. Breakfast had no label on the display to show me what is it as they are too many ham but which one, no name of ham? And also different cheese, is it Adam? Or what? I don't know....is it Nut Allergy?
So convenient to the shopping areas of old West Berlin and to the metro. Good value for money. Close to lots of cafes and restaurants.
Great hotel, I stayed in a single room which was quite small and the desk was actually just a shelf but for one person it was OK. The luggage assistant - very helpful and friendly, told me a lot about how to move around Berlin because I had never been there.
I got an excellent deal on booking.com for this property that was much cheaper than the rack rate. The hotel is very new, super clean, quiet and has all the amenities you need. Also need a U bahn station. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Location Rooms - nicely furnished & clean Value for money
There is no Russia tv
Pre-authorization policy should be revised
Location, air conditioning (it was around 30 degrees in july Wien we travelled). Minibar. Quiet area.
We expected to get à baby cot for our daughter, but we did not complain about it because we realised that à baby cot would not fit in the room. Room was big but just not designed to fit more than bed, desktop, garderob. So our daughter slept with us.
Great, clean and comfortable room, made every day. Extremely convenient location if you are interested in spending time in the shopping district of Berlin.
Very slow wifi, poor connection.
Very close to subway. Quiet. Friendly staff.
It is near the KaDeWe and shopping areas
Good location - i sentral part of town. At the same time, the hotel was quiet. Good Air condition system. Also like the breakfast-buffet.
Brilliant shower, good decoration, and despite being in a city quiet location.
Party one night was directly above but did eventually get to sleep.
Great location Helpful staff Reasonable price Medium-size hotel
Internet not so friendly to get in
Clean Good service Quiet Comfort bed Good Furnished ** MOUTH WASH**
No coffee maker in the room You have to get user & password for WiFi from recieprion every 24H One device only to use WiFi
Nice comfy room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful people at the reception.
Noisy closing doors in the hallway. Bad WI-FI in our room. You have to log in with a code every 24 hours and the connection is very bad.
to small room for being a superior room
We like the location. The room is not big but quiet and clean. the staff are nice and friendly.
The only issue for us is that the hotel can't lend a boiler so we can't make tea in the room, have to go up and down for hot water.
room furnishings, efficient service, location, WiFi connection
public areas, small uncomfortable lobby
