Location right in the middle of town and in a park, brilliant. The room was of nice size, both beds had space around them and their was enough room for a lounge chair and table. The restroom was also spacious.

It is a great university town with a very beautiful old town, good museums, music in the streets and lots to see. A trip is more than worth it! 5-7 days are recommended.
Especially the university museum on the mountain (old campus), several churches and the city museum. boat trips on the river and the many parks are recommended.
The KGB Freedom and resistance Museum is very impressive but not recommendable for little children. It shows the atrocities of different occupations.
Not recommendable is the modern National Museum outside the city. It has hardly any interesting expositions, hardly visible details because of poor illumination, etc... It looks very modern from the outside but the inside arrangements is rather boring and unimpressive.

Tartu is the second biggest city in Estonia, it has lots of places to visit, like museums, science centre, shopping centres, theatre, there are lots of walking to do, there are great local transport links in Tartu, there are plenty of hotels,B&Bs, plus apartments to stay in, most of the big shopping centres are in the city centre, there is also a free bus that takes you to one of the biggest shopping centres in Estonia, just on the outside of Tartu, that shopping centre is very big, and takes about two hours to walk round, it has a lot of different store, restaurants, etc there.
The local buses are also great to use,buy a tartu bus card, tap and go, or, buy tickets at Tartu bus Station, there are local buses, and city buses, there are lots of them, make sure to get a map, as it is a little difficult to know where to go/get off, if you do not know the area.
By the river, across the foot bridge from the city centre behind the market, you will find a nice beach area for summer, it is lovely there, and sandy, plus changing areas for everyone.

Fell in love with Tartu!
Fell in love with Tartu! An absolutely amazing city with a wide range of museums and activities, cosy and variable dining places, perfect for strolling and cycling around... So much to discover! I will surely return!
Try out the city museums, observation tower, printing history museums, science center, spa center, public transportation is easy to use and takes you all around town with an ease. Yet, one can also rent city bikes to move around 😀
The staff was extremely helpful to me. They helped me deal with a future booking stay where there was a language barrier between the hostel owner and me. They wrote for me in Estonian and even called the other hostel on the phone.
The beds were mostly twins, not bunk beds. That's always better. There was a shower designated just for women and another just for men.
Though there wasn't a table and chair in my dorm room, I was invited to use the table in the common area.
Excellent service and breakfast! Front desk was really polite and helpful, nice and smiley guys :) Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Although we travelled without kids, they would have loved pancakes and ice cream for beakfast (definitely considering to choose same hotel when travelling with kids). Room was spacious and beds comfy. Hotel is not very modern, but all in all very good value for money.
I got upgrade to suite which was really pleasant surprise. The hotel is located on the edge of old town and you can here some noises from the street (church bell, garbage trucks) but it wasn`t so bad. Breakfast was very good and selection was wide. SPA area I didn`t get a chance to visit.
Very nice experience in Tartu and would most certainly recommend and visit again.
It was a wonderful experience, a perfect price-performance match! Unlike the large hotels, this small wooden building is very cozy and with its character. The staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was really nice. Since I was traveling by car, I appreciated the free car parking. Perfect location in the center of the city!
Very clean room. The hostel is located directly in front of the main bus station of Tartu. The breakfast is very good. Friendly and helpful staff., 24 h reception, easy check in and check out. Guests of the hostel share the same breakfast and sauna as guests of the hotel (in the same building)
Tartu is small in general, but the hotel is right next to the bus station, bus stops and supermarket, plus all the attractions are easily accessible, so the location is really good.
Room had a great view of the river and city and was big, well-lit and comfortable. The staff are friendly.
Probably the best breakfast in town. The spa is small but really relaxing place. I love the fact that they use textiles etc by Estonian designers in the rooms, it is not that common in Estonia. And the rooms are well designed and have more character tha most hotels in Tartu.
The apartment had absolutely everything to offer. Never stayed at an apartment, was always hotels. Apartment is in a nice quite area of a big city. If I come back to Tartu I will definitely be looking this up again!
A nice hotel. We thought the actual art was a nice touch. The food was good. Beds too narrow ! And rooms small.
Staff polite but Estonians don’t smile - they need to know who to PR customers 🤷♂️😂
Very comfortable and clean room, you also get to use the amenities of the Hotel adjacent to it so you can do a nice morning smoke sauna and jacuzzi to then go and have some breakfast from the buffet.
Automated hotel, stayed for one night and I had everything I needed, a comfortable bathroom and bed. It's close to the coach station, which was the main reason for choosing it.
Two things cannot change - it's still a hotel, i.e you get a bed, a shower and some breakfast in return for your money; and it's still located in the very center of Tartu.
Location is probably one of the best when staying at Tartu. It's literally in Old Town. You can also park your car in an hotel parking lot when there are available places.
