Was a beautiful quiet village with friendly people about 1/2 hour drive outside of Córdoba city. The Castillo was a must for a visit. Everything was amazing.
Everything was amazing. We stayed in Canete Medica House and it was very nice. House is beautiful and children loved the pool. Our landlord Pepe was very helpful and friendly. We took little trip to the castle, which was amazing.... and all the sightseeing what we saw from top of the tower was absolutely beautiful. End of the August most of the restaurants were still closed, but near to our house was very nice and little restaurant and the food was very good. Anyway... very nice place to go.

Make sure you visit the small church and the castle is well worth the visit. We also recommend having dinner at Taberna Ateneo, Pl. de la Constitución. Accomodation was expensive in Cordoba city so we were advised to stay in Almodóvar del Río and we spent the afternoon visiting Cordoba.KenNZLSpain

We enjoyed our short stay at this comfortable, modernized Moorish style house with an interior courtyard. It is located in the centre of the old town close to a square with bars and restaurants. There is a free car park close to the hotel. It is an easy 30min drive into Cordoba.
