Carmen de la Alcubilla del Caracol, Seda Club Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels and Shine Albayzín have received great reviews from travellers in Granada regarding the views from their hotel rooms.
The main purpose of our visit was to see the Alhambra. I recommend to book far in advance because we could not visit inside the palace because it was fully booked. The rest of the Alhambra and Generalife were very good though. We saw the Alhambra at sunset from a mirador and that was worth doing too.
My main purpose was to visit the Alhambra, but there were a lot of other things to see in the city, including the Cathedral, the area around the Cathedral and the Albaicin district. There are loads of places to eat and drink, and the city is big enough to deal with tourism without being overwhelmed. There is a big University with a large student population in the centre of Granada, so the city is always lively.
Alhambra is a must. It’s astonishing. Obviously it isn’t the only huge attraction; there are many other beautiful and historical places to visit and enjoy. It has a great array of places to eat with great variety of cuisines due to its rich history. Great nightlife, at least for a person my age, with open street cafes and bars that enjoy some great Spanish street musicians.
We just love Granada and go there once a year, sometimes twice. In younger days we went skiing there but that is not in the city. Besides the obvious amazing Generalife etc. there is an excellent Science park which is fascinating for children and adults. Beautiful views and wonderful contrasts.
A beautiful ancient city to visit, fantastic historical buildings to visit. The Alhambra and Generalife not to be missed. So many things to see in Granada, famous for its Tapas and it certainly didnt disappoint us. the old narrow streets are beautiful to walk and browse through the shops.
Reflections on our Granada (Alhambra) visit. 1. Buy the book (€10.90?) about the Alhambra. It gives you all the detail (& more) that an official guide can offer and you'll forget.. 2. Spend the money to be part of an officially guided tour. You cannot get the maximum benefit otherwise. That applies to both the Alhambra and the Albacin/Sacramonte. 3. Don't even try to visit either the Alhambra or the Allbaicin (old town) if you have a small-wheeled rollator/walker. Apart from the steps, most walkways are surfaced in stones, much worse than cobbles to negotiate. 4. We stayed in the Hotel America, within the Alhambra walls. It, and the more expensive Parador offer the best access to the Alhambra itself. The Hotel America is "period" with no televisions in the rooms, although it has adequate Wi-Fi. Please respect the "evacuation" guides - maybe the less said, the better. The price of the accommodation is 'room-only', but there is an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. The hotel does not offer evening meals, but there are restaurants within walking distance and the main town is an inexpensive taxi-ride away. 5. The British Airways/Vueling flight from Gatwick to Granada Airport is THE flight to take. Flights to Malaga mean car hire, and private cars (apart from residents') are not allowed in the grounds of the Alhambra & Generalife.
Albaicin, Granada
Fantastic location up on the hill in the popular Albacin neighborhood with great views from the 2 roof top terraces of the Alhambra. Heaters on all 3 levels of apartment and in both bedrooms and the bathroom ( needed in March this year). The decor is Moorish style and the beds are very comfortable! Plenty of room to store our bikes, as we were bike touring in Spain. Small city buses are frequent to the neighborhood which is very popular with tourists. 15-20 min walk to Alhambra, close to a great bakery, restaurants, small supermercados, etc.
One of the best Rooms we had in Spain, very clean and tasteful decorated. Personal was just above expectations Sara and Fanny was the best. Great location for visiting Alhambra … we had the”Alhambra view Room” worth every penny. To get in town is a bit of walking 15-20 minutes to city center (just to have in mind), but for us wasn’t a problem. After all we had a great experience in Eurostars Washington Irving hotel, I’d gladly recommend for those who are interested in culture, tranquility and class.
The situation of the hotel was perfect. Right in the hub of Granada The hotel is beautiful and everything we wanted was there. The staff was so happy to help and answered our questions without hesitation. Lovely people I have to say the hotel was the best I have stayed in in a long time. My friends have already booked again for December and I will certainly be back next year. Thank you for making our stay so easy and enjoyable.
Alhambra Palace was a great affordable but luxury stay for our stop to Granada, Spain. The staff was very friendly and were willing to set us up on our room right away, even though we were early. A Must! Is the restaurant on the balcony over looking all Granada. It was breathtaking. Their morning breakfast was SUPERB!! I highly recommend staying in this Mini Palace and feeling like Grand Royals.
Hotel of reference for future stays in Granada. Can only recommend. Outstanding customer service, position, amenities, 15 mins walk from the historical centre, 2x pools, exceptional food, excellence in Covid-19 protection & security. One of the best hotels you can take when planning a visit to Granada.
Granada City Centre, Granada
The palatial setting and facilities are one thing, but the exceptional attention to detail and exquisite service is another. Raquel is the glue that brings it all together, and makes Corrala del Realejo (and Granada) a 5 star experience, but also makes it feel like home.
The rooms are exquisite and the staff fabulous. They helped us with the car park, took care of our bags and offered us refreshing champagne! This was the best hotel we stayed in all of our journey through Spain. I would stay here again! oh how I loved the staff!!!!!
What a charming place! we stayed in the front room (room 1) and while some reviews stated that it was too small, we didn’t find that at all. it was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff was exceptional also. This was one of our favorite places to stay in Spain.
This is an outstanding hotel so close to everything you want to see in Granada! The room, the spa, the alfresco - all wonderful. Most of all the staff are amazing! A special mention to Balini in the spa who gave me the best massage EVER!
Granada City Centre, Granada
everything was great! amazing apartment with tiles and comfortable rooms. Best place we stayed in Spain so far. Great touch they have good washing machine and dryer! central location in the heart of Granada. helpful stuff always online.
Amazing old palace converted into a boutique hotel. The room is comfy and spacious enough, bedroom is mega comfy and the place is possibly located in the most pictoresque street of Granada - facing the Alhambra hill. Lovely.
A cozy, beauty and well located boutique hotel. Renewed place, good staff and better room: the bed is 135 cm but enough for a couple, clean and comfortable. The bathroom has also the best utilities for the perfect stay.
Granada City Centre, Granada
The best appointed apartment that we have had in Spain, Portugal, or Tangier, these last two weeks. Kitchen, washing machine, drying rack, good mattress stiffness, great couch, great location, good lighting.
Granada City Centre, Granada
We stayed in three different cities (and accommodations) in Spain. This one was our favorite! Nuria was a great host, we loved how stylish it was, and we could easily walk to all of our activities.
Our favorite property when visiting Granada. Private parking garage, best hotel bed, large rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, nice restaurant inside for any meals including bar area.
AMAZING HOTEL - BEST LOCATION - FRIENDLY STAFF - REALLY NICE ROOM - COMFORTABLE BED BEST HOTEL I STAYED IN WHOLE 2 WEEKS IN SPAIN
