Located 200 metres from Granada Cathedral, Sercotel Palacio de los Gamboa has a charming Andalusian courtyard with a fountain and colourful glass roof. The Location. The parking. Their own underground parking was highly appreciated in a small town like Granada, with a lot of street restrictions imposed by the city. The staffs were resourceful, guiding us on the tourism advice. The breakfast was excellent. Getting to the hotel is tricky as in other cities (Seville and Gordoba). Respect the rules and follow the instructions (well-explained with photos, thank you!) provided by the hotel. Like other cities, the streets are very narrow. Getting a small car is always a good idea. See one photo below to show how narrow the last small street that you need to take by car to reach the hotel. No worries. It is all manageable! There is a small take-out place, just in front of the hotel (photo: "deleit"). We liked it and excellent for a quick bite! Around the hotel, there are a few tapas bars (no worries about the noise problem!). The hotel has the architectural beauty and so does the room, and we enjoyed that. : )

Highlight of our 10 days in the Andalusia area. Very lively city with buskers and dancers in the main square. We used Free Walking tours as well as booked tour of the Alhambra and found both guides engaging and enthusiastic about their city. We stayed above a restaurant in a square and felt we were in the heart of Granada.
Granada is a spectacular and friendly, relaxed city. The main tourism draw is the Alhambra and the Palaces of the Arab rulers. The Arab past has been absorbed into the present in architecture (magnificent mansions with interior courtyards) and, to some extent, culture (Flamenco, for example, developed in the Albaicin where workers from the Maghreb lived side by side with Spanish gypsies). There is a still a working Hamam in Granada. The city is famous for its tapas, which are delivered free of charge with every drink. Restaurants are varied and good. Bars are lively and there is a vibrant live music scene.
The Alhambra was simply stunning. Granada felt safe and friendly. We loved the newer part of the city too & enjoyed some of the lovely city squares & parks. Great value too. Recommend the 3 course + drink lunch menus, which seem to be a great socialist tradition in Spain!
Old Turkish areas lovely to wander and have tea Lots of Spanish tapas bars on back streets Alhambra of course Gypsy dancing Didn’t like the heat as we were then with a heat wave otherwise a great place for a few days
Its a lovely city, with a great and varied history, the Islamic influence certainly shines through. It's vibrant and colourful by day and night. The food whether you go for tapas or traditional a la carte is exceptional
The Alhambra of course ! Be sure to reserve your tickets before you leave home and know that you have to purchase an additional ticket and select a specific time to enter the Nasrid Palace located on the Alhambra grounds. We witnessed so many tourists who waited in line for the Palace only to be refused once they reached the door (several were crying even) as they had not purchased this additional ticket. You can pretty much forget trying to purchase this extra ticket on site ~ I read that they take in as many as 8,000 tourists a day and only a few people at a time (from what I observed it appeared to be 25-30) enter the Palace every 15 minutes. You need to come here prepared ~ it’s a long way to go to see them turn you back at the door.
Set in a building from the 16th century, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The decor was traditional and opulent but not over the top and very comfortable. I was impressed with little touches like the complimentary bottle of cava in my room, the helpfulness of the front desk staff (especially Alejandro, Fernando and Laura) and the complimentary happy hour served in the grand central courtyard. The location was also great: near everything but still tucked away. As an affordable three-star hotel, Hotel Casa 1800 Granada way overdelivers.
Granada
These apartments are the perfect spot for enjoying the magnificent Albaicin quarter of Granada, with its colourful history of Zambra flamenco- you are moments away from the best flamenco in town! We had a magnificent view of Al Hambra which is also easy to get to from the apartments, and you can have a swim whilst enjoying the views! One thing to note about Granada if you're driving- Google maps/ gps is useless! The instructions from the hotel are much more useful. Hacexa read well in advance.
Granada City Centre, Granada
Everything! This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, mainly thanks to the helpful & friendly staff, especially Jose. The room was clean, comfortable, and has all I needed. The location is perfectly central, yet on a quiet side street. It seems the rooms are really sound-proofed because I didn’t even hear any noise from the neighboring rooms. I would stay here again next time I’m in Granada.
The hotel is not very close to the Old Town, but that's the reason why we picked it. We need a convenient place to park our car and booked a room that included the parking cost. We either take the bus or taxi to the Old Town, not having to worry about traffic or crazy driving near the center of Granada. Staff is really nice and helpful, the room clean and quiet, we have no complaints whatsoever.
This hotel really exceeded our expectations, it was on a fantastic location, the front desk staff was amazing and she explain us a lot about the city and the best restaurants. It was very clean, and the room was very spacious. I'd really recommend this hotel for your visit to Granada. Amazing
There is no better place for a hotel in Granada. In the middle of the Alhambra, beautifully quite after the touristy rush hours, in the midst of nature and beautiful gardens all around. There might be more fancy hotels but this is the biggest luxury you can have if you want to enjoy the Alhambra
Granada City Centre, Granada
I requested a room with a balcony looking out to the Catedral de Granada and fell in love. The hotel sits right on the plaza in front of the catedral and offers one of the best views of it. They allowed me to store my luggage their after I checked out and before my flight to Barcelona.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful . Nice rooms ,very comfortable . Good location ,15mins walk from the centre .Nice cheap cafe 20 metres away facing the park entrance . This hotel has the potential to be one of the best in Granada with a few little tweaks.
Granada City Centre, Granada
The Terrace was probably the best in the whole of Granada. We had everything that we required. We walked to the apartment from the Renfe Station, took me about 30 minutes. You either pay for a hotel and have 1 room or have an apartment with room to move around in.
Granada City Centre, Granada

Excellent housekeeping. / Alejandro helped me w getting a quiet rm, plus numerous other suggestions, because this was my first visit to Spain, ever /. Ignacio was also excellent at getting me into that terrible parking garage.
beautifully reformed Manor House - with a gorgeous internal patio. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in a boutique hotel. The French Toast was to die for…
