It's a very exciting city with a lot of interesting neighborhoods. Plenty of shops and restaurants and historic sites. There is a good scene for traditional music and dance. You can get around by bus and taxi pretty well which is good because it's hilly and the streets and sidewalks are cobblestone and stone in mortar in many places. Beautiful, but will tire you out if you are not in good shape or don't have sturdy shoes.
The weather was great for our end of November stay.

Granada is all about the Alhambra palace so make sure you get your tickets early. If you leave it too late you'll end up paying over the odds for a guided tour or worse not be able to visit. In terms of Granada itself allow a day for the Alhambra palace and another day to visit Albaicin area and rest of the city. We arrived early morning on day one and left in the early evening day two and this was more than adequate to see the sights and experience the city. City is hilly but everywhere is walkable but if not buses are frequent. The view across to the palace from Albaicin is amazing and price of food and drink very reasonable in the bars with a view.

Granada is a city, parts of it are good and parts are not so good.
There are lots of bars and restaurants but a lot of the restaurants depend on outside seating - not so great in the winter.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Granada
This hotel is literally located in the premises of Alhambra. Since almost everyone visits Granada to see Alhambra this hotel is the best place you can stay. You just need to walk down the stairs and you are at the Alhambra entry gates. If you come by car you park in the Alhambra car parking and pay at the hotel while checking out. Hotel is fine. Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing much to complain
The staff was very friendly.

Friendly and helpful staff solved what we requested. Parking was ensured in the garage of the hotel, which was the second criteria of booking.
The room was clean and quiet. The staff were warm and helpful. The location is ideal to see the best of Granada on foot. Best breakfast I ever had in Spain.
