Lovely well-designed room with quite a large bathroom but the best thing was the rooftop terrace!! Hotel Monte Victoria is located on a quiet hillside in Málaga’s La Victoria district, overlooked by Gibralfaro Castle. The hotel was family run and they were very accommodating to me and my wife and our little daughter of 9 months. They had toys she could play with as they also have a small grandson there. They love babies and we felt very welcome. You could ask for a lot of help and they were always accommodating. This trip was great for our daughter who had such a great time!

The Colourful Soul of the Costa del Sol

The birthplace of Picasso is as colourful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place amongst the youthful square of the old centre, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.

There’'s also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.

A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga’s most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 10 km from the centre of town.

From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with you’re sure to find the perfect accommodation for your sunny holiday.
