Stayed in Las Vegas Hotel for 5 nights and were delighted with location and proximity to beach. Lovely tapas bar Restuaunte Sancha virtually next door. Excellent food and service. Reception staff in Hotel las Vegas were extremely welcoming and engaging..... Every single reception staff member that we encountered over our 6 day stay could not have been nicer!! Breakfast....which I see has attracted some negative comments was much much more that just pastries. A range of fresh, tinned and dried fruit. Cereals, yoghurts, cheese, ham, chorizo, tomatoes, beans, small sausages, hard boiled egg croissants, pasties, toast rolls etc etc.( OK the big fry up is not on offer but their extensive continental breakfast will def leave you very full!! ) This is a really lovely little hotel with a pool, close to the beach and every room had an ample sized balcony. Often hard to get in city centre hotels. Town is approx a 15 min walk or as others have pointed out a frequent bus from just outside will being you to the buzzing old town or the recently developed port area. Do not be put off by negative reviews... Most of which date back 4 years or more. Las Vegas has upped its game, refurbished and is a great wee hotel at a really great price. This is the fifth hotel that I have stayed in in Malaga city....some of which were 4 and even 5 star but Las Vegas is definitely the one I will be returning to. Convenient, clean, cost effective and fronting on to a truly Spanish residential street with tapas and sangria on the doorstep.
The location of the hostel is perfect if you can get in, Not like us, we had to walk 200 yds, up side street in dark try to find a apartment which was not to easy to see, did not feel very safe carrying luggage at that time off night after a long flight. I myself not to good on my legs, god knows what I would have done if I was more disabled.
Malaga was the unexpected gem of our Andalusia journey. We were so happy to discover some of its wonderful museums (Malaga card highly recommended), so rich and well curated, among which I would mention the Centre Pompidou and Carmen Thyssen. The city center has an authentic and powerful vibe and we enjoyed the best food of our trip, we highly recommend Dynamit and Restaurante Cocteleria La Valiente. The city is very easy to walk around, we used the bus only for La Concepcion Botanical Garden, which is outside the city. 3 days were not enough to visit everything, as there were museums that we did not manage to go to and we did not have time to explore the nearby beaches of Costa del Sol, we hope to be back soon.
Malaga was a great surprise for us. The city has a wonderful, lively old town/inner city with no/very few cars in it. Perfect size, walking distance to almost all sights. Nice, clean, stone covered streets, clean buildings, beautiful parks, friendly people, great athmosphere. Pimpi and Lolita were our favorite tapas/vermouth bars. The staff was attentive. We stayed at Pinar Malaga Rooms, which prooved to be a great choice. Clean, comfortable, well equiped, perfect location. Walking distance to all
There is so much to see and do in this lovely city. The historic core is compact which makes it very walkable. Every side street comes with something interesting. From the Arab Baths, the Cathedral, the Castle, the fish and produce market, and then the fact that beautiful beaches are so close you can walk to them too. The bus service is super and the fare is fixed so you don’t have to explain where you are going, just pay and go. There are also a wealth of eating places.
Modern and crowdy tourist place, often domonated by young north Europeans. The beaches are bad - mix of dust and gravel and the sea appears wavy all the time, this the water turbid and unsafe for decent swim. The old town is nice but overcrowded. All in all, once-a-visit suffice.
The employees we've met are really nice, accommodating and always at your service. The location is perfect if you want near the beach which is just a few minutes. The bus stop is also near if you want to go to the city center or the main attractions in Malaga. There are lots of restaurants nearby and a supermarket. Our room has a bathtub which I like to relax after a long day of walk and sightseeing. We have a balcony also that my husband loves because he smoke. No need to go outside the hotel in the night.
We hadcthe pleasure to be one of the first guests at Anihita Malaga as they were opened only for 3 days, and it was one of my best hotel experience so far. The location is perfect, within walking distance to old town but still not in the middle of the action, so it was quiet. Very clean room with AC and HDTv, but the star was the bed, kingsize very confortable and perfectly equipped. The staff is friendly and they constantly trying to improve, so keep it going guys !! Our money were very well spent !
This is our fourth Vincci stay at one of their properties. Great staff, hotel across from the best beaches in Malaga, taxis outside, restaurants close by, beautiful park with swans and wildlife, in tranquil area. Taxi costs 6-7 euros to downtown. Bed comfortable, nice linens and towels. Breakfast good. 2 restaurants on site, one with snacks; pizza, salads other more formal, all good. One of the best Malaga cuisine restaurants 2 blocks away, Casa Ovi (Tripadvisor 5 star). Would return again.
Clean, room lovely. Main reason for low score was seeming inability to organise a taxi transfer to Estapona. Just walk to the taxi rank we were told, which indeed was nearby. However in contrast our little boutique hotel in Estapona organised our journey back to Malaga airport in a lovely taxi which cost less, was smart & with a very good driver. The guy from the taxi rank was OK. However the vehicle was just a very basic, rather battered old taxi.
My family and I stayed here for 4 nights over the December long weekend. The hotel was in perfect location for watching the Christmas light show on Calle Larios, overall we couldn’t have picked a better location if we tried. Throughout our stay, the staff were helpful and ensured towels were changed/ toiletries topped up etc. We hope to return to Malaga and stay at Soho Boutique Equitativa again!
The hotel room was fantastic, large and spacious, great facilities and the bathroom was great too, bright, walk in shower, very clean and very spacious. The location was perfect for our stay in Malaga, being close to the train station and right between the market, the old town and the port. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again
Location was very good, right in the center of the old town. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, as we had to stay another night, they easely found the solution for us. Room was comfortoble, children loved it. The view from our room was also very nice.
Valeria is fabulous, stylish and best located boutique hotel with wonderful staff! We loved our junior suite and the roof top beds. Thank you Josan, Salva and roof bar team for treating us so well! Can’t wait to come back to our home in Malaga!
Honestly, the only thing good for this hotel is the location (10 min to center of Malaga, 10 min to the main bus station and train and 15 min to the airport” Otherwise, for sure I wont come back to it again
Small hotel in a posh residential neighbourhood. Beautiful garden with nice pool, close to beach and airport. Feels like you are staying in the villa of your wealthy friends who live in Malaga.
great hotel, very comfortable, superb and quiet staff. location is good, very close to the old town center, 5 minutes by foot.
Most comfy bed, very clean hotel.Fantastic shower.Short walk to old town of Malaga with lots of places to eat and drink.
Room size, cleanliness, location in the heart of Old Town Malaga, and extremely helpful staff.
the hotel is in a wonderful part of old town Malaga. Close to everything yet very quiet.
nice, new hotel is a good location. Excellent access to the old town of Malaga
Fabulous location with just a walk to visit the castle. Spectacular views and friendly staff.
Everything was so nice! Just excellent.
Perfect location, comfortable rooms and nice & friendly personnel. Also, the customer support was very helpful and quick to respond on any questions prior to our arrival!
