Situated on the seafront overlooking La Malagueta Beach, Soho Boutique Las Vegas offers an outdoor pool, gardens and airy rooms with a private balcony. Malaga city centre is just 2.5 km away. I stayed at Soho Boutique Hotel Las Vegas for 4 nights in December. Beautiful, big, open, airy lobby with a bar in a side room off the lobby. Elena was a tremendous help to me both prior to my arrival and once I was in the hotel. Angela was also a big help during my stay. They were always courteous, patient and smiling. Hotel was about 1-2 km distance from the main squares in Malaga which put me centrally located to many activities and the port. Wasn’t impressed with my first drink there (unsure he was a real bartender). However, breakfast was AMAZING! They have a HUGE breakfast room on the bottom floor out by the pool area that has everything…hot and cold food, fresh breads, meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, etc. Excellent service with all COVID protocols adhered to every time I was there. Room was decent size with a small balcony and a great view of the water. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again if I return.

Stayed in Las Vegas Hotel for 5 nights and were delighted with location and proximity to beach. Lovely tapas bar Restuaunte Sancha virtually next door. Excellent food and service. Reception staff in Hotel las Vegas were extremely welcoming and engaging..... Every single reception staff member that we encountered over our 6 day stay could not have been nicer!! Breakfast....which I see has attracted some negative comments was much much more that just pastries. A range of fresh, tinned and dried fruit. Cereals, yoghurts, cheese, ham, chorizo, tomatoes, beans, small sausages, hard boiled egg croissants, pasties, toast rolls etc etc.( OK the big fry up is not on offer but their extensive continental breakfast will def leave you very full!! ) This is a really lovely little hotel with a pool, close to the beach and every room had an ample sized balcony. Often hard to get in city centre hotels. Town is approx a 15 min walk or as others have pointed out a frequent bus from just outside will being you to the buzzing old town or the recently developed port area. Do not be put off by negative reviews... Most of which date back 4 years or more. Las Vegas has upped its game, refurbished and is a great wee hotel at a really great price. This is the fifth hotel that I have stayed in in Malaga city....some of which were 4 and even 5 star but Las Vegas is definitely the one I will be returning to. Convenient, clean, cost effective and fronting on to a truly Spanish residential street with tapas and sangria on the doorstep.
People, Place, Size, Price, weather. as an older person i was delighted with the amount of seating for the public. The public transport was easy to access and very comfortable. The staff in the building where we picked up the keys were extremely helpful, i have to mention Lucy for her excellant care and concern. Thank you Lucy. the city has plenty of safe walkways,as a senoir i appreciate the tiled paths. perfect for strolling. all the mesuems, gallerys and sites would take years to visit. I will be back again for my 5th visit. Helen Toft.
For my last few visits, I've chosen to stay in the seaside suburbs of El Palo and Pedregalejo, a few kms to the east of Malaga. Very good bus connections, but not too far to walk into the city along the beach. Lots of decent local bars and restaurants, friendlier and much cheaper than those in the city itself, and very well-stocked supermarkets if you're self-catering. What would I avoid on my next visit ? The climate in Feb/March can be very unsettled.
Malaga surprised us with the lovely streets in the old city, plenty of great restaurants and bodegas and one of the best preserved Alcazabas in Andalusia and a Roman theatre. There are plenty of beaches and if you have the time to hire a bicycle to cycle along the coast, you get to see the villages along the coast with their beach barbecues and quieter beaches. Bear in mind through that Malaga is a cruise destination and most days you will get at least one or two cruise ships drop their guests for a day in Malaga and therefore during the day, it can get crowded with groups wandering around the popular sites.
A very interesting city which has obviously had a lot of money spent on it in recent years. Good public transport. We used both local buses and taxis. We visited the Gibralfaro, the Alcazaba, Museum of Picasso, the Cathedral, the Museum of Malaga, the Botanic Gardens, the Aterranza market and various tapas bars
Malaga has a little bit of everything. A port, a beach, great views, history, art, great restaurants. Thoroughly recommend for a short break. Easy to travel from airport to city centre. Easy to get around city centre on foot.
Malaga Centro, Málaga
The location of the apartment is very good. In the city center, but on a quiet street. Restaurants and the beach are a short walk away. We did not use a taxi or public transport to get around the city at all. The airport can be reached by train and the train stop is very close. The only downside is that the balcony is miniature. Neither table nor chairs can fit there. can only stand. Highly recommend this apartment! If I go to Malaga again, I would try to rent the same apartment again :)
Checkin was exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. Generally the staff were amazing. The hotel is really close to the Centro train station which is about 10 minutes from Malaga airport. It's really well located to explore the city. They also did everything possible to ensure that guests were safe during these difficult times. I will definitely stay again and would highly recommend the hotel. The biggest selling point for me where the fantastic staff.
Malaga Centro, Málaga
The place is very good. For a hostel you literally get hotel service and facilities. It is in the centre of Malaga old town (centre). Everything is nearby and there is no hill, the place is in a flat ground area. They were so accommodating as I checked in late and allowed me to leave my luggage to walk around the city hands free during my last day. The place was very clean and the dorm room and private bathroom were spacious. Simply very good hostel. I enjoyed my stay.
Very friendly and efficient reception on arrival. Easy, free parking on the street outside. Beautiful garden and pool, and very nicely-appointed room which was spotlessly clean. The electric shutters on the windows and door to the garden are great, as they really block out any light or noise. Very nice neighbourhood, with a short pleasant stroll to the beach and some lovely restaurants. Truly excellent choice for an affordable stay close to Malaga and the airport.
Great location in Malaga, close to the train station, beach, and a short walk to the old town. Friendly staff throughout the hotel, we arrived early and our room was ready when we checked in. The room was comfortable and still had space with a child's cot included. Very good breakfast, the breakfast team played with our young daughter and brought various items for her to play with while we ate breakfast.
Malaga Centro, Málaga
Great location in old town. Clean apartment with necessary amenities. Deep pool at the rooftop. Rather quiet at the hotel around the clock. Easy to locate. Comfortable bed and bed sofa. Great price! Overall we would really recommend this hotel. The few things we were missing as stated below are just to give you a clear picture but this is a great place and you want to live in old town if you visit Malaga.
Malaga old town is beautiful and very clean, if you like historic old towns, good restaurants and a lively atmosphere, you'll love it here. The Molina Lario is perfectly positioned to enjoy the sights, the staff are warm and welcoming and the facilities are excellent. Everything s an easy walk from the hotel.
Nearest hotel to/from the Airport. It is around 1,2 KM from Malaga Airport. If you are arriving Malaga Airport at night then take the taxi to reach the hotel. Uber works great in Malaga. We paid 19 EUR for 1,2 KM by taxi. If we would wait to clear the midnight rush hour then it would cost less than 10 EUR.
Malaga Centro, Málaga
stayed there for 2 nights to explore Malaga historic centre and beach. it was great value for money you can’t find anything cheaper in Malaga staying in the heart of the old town. the room was simple but more than enough for the purpose, good share bathroom and very quiet at night
Perfect location for exploring Malaga Old town and the harbour. Hotel suited our needs, very clean good size roomand bathroom with everthing you need. Very easy to get to the Hotel from the airport - we took the bus from right outside the airport, a bargain at 3 euros.
There is a real feel of luxury throughout the hotel, which hits you as soon as you go through the gates. The pool areas is ideal for a relaxed day, with immediate access to the beach across the road. Its only a 15-20 minute walking to the the centre of Malaga.
The location in Soho was fabulous. Easy walking to the Old Town and so many restaurats. Very convenient to Malaga station to take train to other towns along the Costa Del Sol An easy 10 minute walk to the Main station for train to Seville.
Malaga Centro, Málaga
- very close to the train station where the train from airport stops (10mins to airport) - you can see it from the hotel - like 20 mins to the old town and 30 mins to the beach (walking) - nice, new and tidy - working AC and elevator
Malaga Centro, Málaga
Simple unfussy hostal (small hotel, not youth hostel!) in the old town, enabling us to rest after flying into Malaga and going onward to holiday destination. Easy to depart by dropping the room key into a box.
Good location within easy walking distance of main old town, the beach and the station. Good clean large room with balcony and kitchenette and good cheap food at the hostel next door if required
Lovely new clean hotel, located close to the old town of Malaga and near the marina. Two balconies to our room with great views in both directions. Good location for a city break to Malaga.
I’m already a fan of Barcelo Hotels having used several for large corporate events. This was first stay at Malaga for leisure. It did not disappoint . Excellent.
Churriana, Málaga
The place was super close to both the Malaga airport and the beach. The owner was very nice and even drove us to the train station by himself, using his own car.
An unbeatable location overlooking town and harbour of Malaga. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiters at the breakfast were friendly and efficient too. The cleaning service for our room was just perfect.
This is simply our place to go in Malaga. You’re in the highway in 5min to go hiking or sightseeing outside the city, you wake up in front of the sea, the staff is attentive and the best... i really hope I can always afford to go there when I visit my family. Malaga is my hometown and this is where I want to stay.
