Fantastic hotel right in the middle of Estepona. Super service throughout the hotel - the staff is really geared to ensuring a excellent guest experience. We have tried the bodega, rooftop bar, cooper’s bar and the restaurant - all serving top notch quality. The hotel is extremely clean - and has a very good ‘vibe’. Walking distance to many great restaurants, bars, shopping, harbor and beach - all within walking distance . The rooms are spacious and equipped with excellent beds (and pillows!!). Comfortable bathroom with nice Yves Rocher amenities. Staff friendliness and willingness to support in any way is of absolute 5 star quality / Level!

Malaga is a fantastic blend of history, culture and coastal relaxation. The city is incredibly walkable; we found that almost all major sights, including the historic Alcazaba and the vibrant Malagueta Beach, were easily accessible on foot. For exploring further, the public transport (buses and rail) is efficient and very easy to navigate. It’s a city that feels both authentic and welcoming, with a great food scene around every corner. If you have time, I highly recommend day trips to Mijas, Marbella, Ronda or Nerja to round out your stay.

We liked the central shopping and entertainment area, which was being renovated during our stay. We also like the beach and seafront - the lift was useful to aid our access to them. We explored the town inland too and liked the vibe. Transport links to Malaga and the coastal towns to the South are very good.

Marbella has a beautiful old town with lots of quaint back streets, full of shops, bars and restaurants to explore, and everywhere is so clean! The beachfront is also a delight. The Dali statues are also worth a visit. A lovely place, but Verrryyy expensive compared to other beautiful places on the Costa del Sol.

Ronda was such a unique place with the connection bridge to each side and the gorge that you could walk down into and have amazing views from the top. The shops and restaurants at the top were great. We did the Caminito Del Rey hike while visiting which was nearby and it be of the more unique hikes you can experience with the boardwalks taking you around the cliffs and a swinging bridge you cross.

We found Benalmádena Costa tacky, i.e. there were lots of bars and cafes, but no decent shops. Moreover, the people in the shops were unfriendly to the point of being quite rude, with the notable exception of the Post Office (where the person was very helpful and friendly). The only saving grace was our hotel (Hotel Siroco) and a nice friendly cafe (The Tasty Tavern).

Love going to Fuengirola If its the beach you like go-- the beach is well kept and clean. WE were there during some bad storms yet the beach was cleared the following day. Lots of choice on beach beds just look around as the price varies. So much choice for eating out. From your cheap bites-- Food for Thought, Talk of the Town to name two to your more expensive KuDamm. The mix of tastes is great. You do not need to stick to just british foods. Try the local foods, try something new every night your there. As a diabetic I found the choice for me to be really good. And when I asked for changes to the menu all were willing to do this. Fuengirola has a great bus and train service. Fuengirola is the end of the line takes 35 mins to reach from the airport. Public transport is clean and reliable every day. Use the machines just remember to tap in and out using your bank card. Very rarely is it packed but just be patient and everyone gets to where they want to be. You must go and look at the public areas where there are plenty of seats to sit back and people watch at your leisure. have a look in the local churches, even if its not really your thing. Check out the Evangelical church on the frontline. When in Fuengirola relax, dont hurry, enjoy the calm and walk along the beach ( either on the sand or not). Stop when you want to. Be polite and you will receive a great service.

I know Spain very well.

I know Spain very well. I can say with confidence that Estepona is one of its nicest cities/towns. It is one big garden. Cars and traffic are kept well away from the sea front or the old town. Hundreds of thousands of plants, mature trees and flowers. It retained its old traditional houses. It is like stepping back in time, the 50s and 60s. If you want to see the contrast, visit Mallorca or Majorca then go to Estepona. The difference is the difference between day and night. If you want night clubs, resturants touting for business, game arcades or tacky gift shops, don't go to Estepona.

We loved El Torcal- will return to do more routes but, even for non- walkers,a trip to see the rocks and view from the mirador is well worth it. The dolmens- such a peaceful area- need to return to go into the visitor centre. Tourist information- lovely, helpful lady. Wandering around the old areas- so untouristy, truly Spanish and beautiful. The Alcazabar( not the horrid posters advertising the Indiana Jones event nor that event which ruins the space in the Collegiate.) Great food. Short distance to Fuente de Piedra and the flamingos. Short distance to the amazing belene museum- will deffo return there.
