What can I say, absolutely fantastic stay here! Hotel is wonderful, very modern, very clean. Beautiful side sea view. I really do not understand what anyone would have to complain about?? The food was lovely, plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meal. Please do not go expecting a full English, this is Spain!! These chefs are catering for well over a thousand people a day! The staff are also marvelous, so helpful. Big shout out to the waiter Javi, so polite and helpful and also the entertainment manager Pepe! Thanks for the paella..best I've tasted 😋 beds are really comfortable too. Only little advice I may give is there is not enough clothes storage, you could quite easily fit a little desk with drawers in the room and then you could put coffee/tea facilities as it would be lovely to have a cuppa on that beautiful balcony. Thanks again we will be back. 😊

Malaga has a compact historic centre full of museums, places to eat and pedestrianised streets. Museum of Malaga is enormous (1.50 euros entrance). Jardin botanico historico on the edge of the city is fab, there's a bus (but still a 15 min walk at the end), we got a taxi ( 12 or 14 euros one way). Free entry Sunday afternoons.

Love going to Fuengirola If its the beach you like go-- the beach is well kept and clean. WE were there during some bad storms yet the beach was cleared the following day. Lots of choice on beach beds just look around as the price varies. So much choice for eating out. From your cheap bites-- Food for Thought, Talk of the Town to name two to your more expensive KuDamm. The mix of tastes is great. You do not need to stick to just british foods. Try the local foods, try something new every night your there. As a diabetic I found the choice for me to be really good. And when I asked for changes to the menu all were willing to do this. Fuengirola has a great bus and train service. Fuengirola is the end of the line takes 35 mins to reach from the airport. Public transport is clean and reliable every day. Use the machines just remember to tap in and out using your bank card. Very rarely is it packed but just be patient and everyone gets to where they want to be. You must go and look at the public areas where there are plenty of seats to sit back and people watch at your leisure. have a look in the local churches, even if its not really your thing. Check out the Evangelical church on the frontline. When in Fuengirola relax, dont hurry, enjoy the calm and walk along the beach ( either on the sand or not). Stop when you want to. Be polite and you will receive a great service.

It's only small really but perfectly formed. Slightly more expensive than other towns in the area but it does exude a class of its own. Not much for beach lovers, more for wandering around cobbled streets for shopping and socialising.

Estepona is a town that is benefitting from a great deal of investment in upgrading the paseo and town centre environment. It is quieter than Marbella which I enjoy and the whitewashed houses and pretty plant pots in the narrow streets are charming. There are a number of restaurants, particularly the ones serving fish which are very good. I like the evening environment where all the restaurants spill into the streets as one big venue.

We loved El Torcal- will return to do more routes but, even for non- walkers,a trip to see the rocks and view from the mirador is well worth it. The dolmens- such a peaceful area- need to return to go into the visitor centre. Tourist information- lovely, helpful lady. Wandering around the old areas- so untouristy, truly Spanish and beautiful. The Alcazabar( not the horrid posters advertising the Indiana Jones event nor that event which ruins the space in the Collegiate.) Great food. Short distance to Fuente de Piedra and the flamingos. Short distance to the amazing belene museum- will deffo return there.

Mijas is pretty. Lots of bars and restaurants.

Mijas is pretty. Lots of bars and restaurants. It can be hilly and there are lots of steps/ cobbled streets so may be unsuitable for people with mobility issues. There is a lot of traffic through Mijas and not many just pedestrianised areas so you do need to be aware of traffic when walking around the narrow streets.
