Food in the restaurant was a mix of different types and tastes - was brilliant to be able to pick and try a selection to discover what you liked best. The pool bar also had a selection of snacks - what we tried was really nice. Both pools were great. I enjoyed an early morning swim in the indoor pool each morning and spent time relaxing by outdoor pool in between walking on the connected beach or wondering down the centre of Nerja. Nerja is so beautiful, and the hotel's location and facilities make it a perfect place to experience it.

The Balcony of Europe
With whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains, Nerja certainly has a picturesque setting. Other than from a boat, the best place to admire it is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town centre streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighbouring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 5 km. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multi-level aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodation includes luxury beach hotels, guest houses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.

A beautiful place with lots of lovely views. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Bustling lively streets at night and some great roof top terraces. Great for a visit to the Caves and to Frigiliana. Very busy when we visited at the end of august.

Nerja is a charming seaside town distinguished by its abundance of characteristic shops, inviting restaurants, and the iconic Balcón de Europa—a landmark that alone justifies the journey. While Nerja does become busy in August, it is far from being overwhelmed compared to other Spanish destinations. In practical terms, it remains perfectly enjoyable and entirely manageable, even in peak season.
September, in particular, promises an even more appealing experience: the summer rush naturally declines, the atmosphere becomes more relaxed, and the town reveals its most authentic and serene character.
Nerja offers beautiful beaches and excellent opportunities for boat rentals, both self‑drive and with a private skipper. The latter is highly recommended, as local skippers know the coastline intimately and can guide you to the most spectacular hidden spots.
From a personal standpoint, my family and I had an exceptionally positive experience. We were even fortunate enough to enjoy a close encounter with a family of dolphins during one of our excursions—an unforgettable moment.
Málaga is conveniently close, less than an hour’s drive away, making day trips effortless.
Overall, Nerja is truly a gem within the Costa del Sol. It combines natural beauty, authenticity, and a welcoming atmosphere. Personally, I adore it.

We stayed at Playa Burriana, right on the beach, so many reasonable restaurants and all the usual trinket/souvenir shops. Walking distance to Nerja Centro and Balcón De Europa and lovely coastal path.
We took a Nerja Taxi to transfer from Malaga to our apartment, approx 50 minute drive, €80 each way, excellent service

Lovely town, would definiately visit again
We stayed in capistrano village but would prefer to stay nearer to the balcon de europa as its alot of walking or buses or taxis to get there. Also we thought there was a lack of excusions and boat trips in the area so not much do, apart from visit the caves which was good but quite expensive. Lots of choice of restaurants in town, would advise booking as it gets very busy.

Nerja has something for everyone.
Nerja has something for everyone. Lots of nice restaurants & shops in the old town. The main square was very busy but lots of other quieter areas. Burriana beach was the biggest beach area offering sunbed hire if you wanted it & watersports. Also it has lots of beachside restaurants on the beach as well as strip behind. I’d recommend visiting the caves and also doing a guided kayak tour.

Nice clean hotel and rooms, and the staff were very helpful.
The rooms were comfortable enough for a long weekend, but the addition of tea and coffee making facilities would be great, as there aren't any at the moment, but you do have a fridge.
The location is excellent right in the centre of Nerja, near to all bars etc.
We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in December. Great hotel perfectly situated in Nerja for visiting the town on foot if staying for a few days without a car. A few minutes walk from the sea and restaurants. I recommend booking a room with a balcony as more spacious than the standard room. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Excellent transfer service between Malaga airport and the hotel.

The location was within walking distance of everything Nerja had to offer. You could walk to the heart of the town in less than 5 minutes or hop on the bus to Malaga which was a short walk from the hotel. There is underground parking there but a vehicle is not necessary.
