Lovely pool. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. Comfy bed. Good bathroom, powerful shower. Nice towels etc.. Staff were all friendly & helpful. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal and lovely service. Underground parking was very easy to access and secure. I’d book it in advance next time to make sure I got a space. We wanted a talking stopover halfway from the ferry to Costa del sol, and this was ideal. We didn’t go into Caseres this time, so can’t comment on how long this might take. The hotel provide pool towels. The gym was well equipped.
Hospes Palacio de Arenales dates back to the 17th century and was formally the holiday residence of a noble family. This 5-star hotel offers a wellness centre and spa.

A beautifully appointed and serene atmosphere at this hotel with exceptionally friendly and professional staff. The decor of the hotel was exquisite and the spa thrown in was a delight. The service in the restaurant was superb with excellent advice given by the maitre D. The palace in town associated with this hotel is well worth a visit. I would happily live there.
The Hotel Don Carlos in the centre of Cáceres occupies a building from 1803. It offers comfortable rooms with antique-style furniture and free WiFi. Cáceres Cathedral is just 400 metres away.

Location, the interior, the breakfast, the staff. This was the sixth time I stayed here, which probably says it all!

It is a beautiful city with lots of historic places to visit. Amazing restaurants to try typical dishes and mainly the cheese! It seems difficult to access sometimes (mainly the old historic area), but taxis reach practically everywhere. Sadly, my trip was a business one and only for a weekend, but the city deserves more days to fully enjoy it!

Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around.
Beautiful old city, lovely to just wander around. Slightly off the beaten track with not too many foreign tourists there, particularly in February. Speaking a little Spanish is useful. Would definitely recommend.

Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city.
Carceres is a beautifully preserved old city. The museum is very well set out starting with paleotonic times and there is no charge to go in.
I also loved the Arab museum - only a relatively small building but with some many distinct rooms and full of the everyday things that were used. A real house, not just a made to look like one.
Good ‘menu’ at the Colon Kiosk that’s around from the hotel.
Beautiful hotel. Beautifully clean, lovely helpful staff
Great food. Will be re booking to go back.
Room was excellent had plenty room for two small dogs, they left out dog beds and bowls
Comfy big bed, lovely shower room.
Nice surroundings. Also Spa facilities
Highly recommended

Caceres was a highlight of a monthlong trip through Portugal and Andalucia. I would like to have spent three or four days there. There's a wonderful modern art museum in the Old City area. Do not miss a romantic nighttime stroll.

Caceres is a must-visit jewel in Spain's repertoire of fabulous historic places to visit. So many places to see but all in walking distance of the parador - Plaza de la Concepcion, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Maria and the cathedral, Torre do los Pozos, the water cisterns and the Torre de Bujaco. All are wonderful sights to visit. Very easy to walk around and the Plaza Mayor has many restaurants and bars from which to choose where to eat.
This was the fifth time I had stayed at this lovely little hotel right in the centre of Cáceres. Which probably sums up my feelings about the place. Beautifully located (although parking can sometimes be an issue) right in the middle of this fabulous little city, on the edge of the medieval 'old town', Don Carlos is a characterful and comfortable reflection of Cáceres itself. Highly recommended to anyone. Great choice of restaurants within a short walk, and the breakfast (5€90 at February 2024 prices) is excellent!
Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk. Good size modern room and bathroom. The room had a good working aircon which is a necessity in Cáceres in summer. We were on the 6th floor and did not hear any street noises. It was also very quiet in the hotel itself. The location is very close to the city center and on an avenue with breakfast bars and shops. We arrived in the evening so we could park our car for free in the blue zone till the next morning.
The communication was excellent. The location of the apartment was fantastic - a minute walk to the plaza!
It was very clean. It was very comfortable. The air conditioning was superb( it was 40 degrees in the late afternoon!) The price was good. The fridge and microwave, coffee and water were an added bonus. We will definitely return as we really enjoyed Caceres.!
Very comfortable hotel with nice beds. Perfect stayover for travelling from Spain to Portugal. Location is very central with cafes, park and restaurant on walking distance and also a walk in the old city center.
Matras are nice, clean room and spacious.
Very easy to book last minute, friendly and positive receptionist. Quiet street for sleeping
The hotel is right off the main square in the heart of the old town. Beautifully decorated, large room with great shower. Shutters blocked the light and sounds from outside well. Nice to have a choice in pillows. Friendly hosts. Nice breakfast (and a very special treat for tea-drinkers!) Let me leave my bag after checkout.
Enyire house. Very spacious. 2 bathrooms. 2 rooms upstairs have own ac unit. the ac unit in the living room cools both living room and the bedroom downstairs. Nice terrace where we dried our clothes. easy check in ( owner left keys and called me to explain how to find them). easy 10 mind walk to Main Square of Caceres.
Location is excellent, spacious, and although we booked very last minute, Marta (the staff) was very swift in communicating with us and assisting the check-in. It was nice to have a queen bed, which has been difficult to find at times during our trip through Spain. There is an amazing restaurant just up the street.
The place is just amazing, the view from the window, bakery downstairs, cafes, shops, places of interest evrything is all there, as well as all the equipment in the apartment, hot water in the shower, the interior- really really liked all this! Tbere are books about the town, the region and the whole Spain.
The best thing about this very comfortable and well situated hotel was the knowledgeable front of house receptionist Marisa. Her good command of English and her willingness to share with us historical sites and restaurant choices, made our stay in Cáceres very rewarding indeed.
Beautiful hotel newly re-opened, with very friendly staff, in the medieval centre of Caceres. The hotel was beautifully decorated with thoughtful details. We only stayed for one night but I would have liked to have stayed longer! We did not have breakfast included.
Location was perfect to stay on our way from southern Spain to Santander. It was only a short taxi ride to the old town of Caceres. Room was palacial (it was a suite) and had everything you need. Optional secure underground parking that we chose to use.
When we arrived with our car they parked it in their garage so we didn't have to worry about it! The room, restaurant and service was the best. We would highly recommend it to all travelers as a quaint and authentic Spanish hotel experience.
Location was very close to the old part of Cáceres. David was very helpful in getting the keys to our family who arrived earlier. Safe and mostly very quiet. Everything worked perfectly and was as shown in photos and description.
Terrific location. I arrived early in Caceres and went to the hotel. The staff very kindly allowed me to leave my bag at reception and also gave me the key to the room as early as possible. This kindness was greatly appreciated.
Nice hotel with a good swimming pool that is mist welcome in summer (Caceres being very hot). Location is good about 15 minutes from the center and it was easy to park. The rooms were large and confortable. Good breakfast
A great hotel, wonderfully placed in the center of Caceres. Modern facilities. Rooms a bit small though. Comfortable bed, quiet at night. Very good to relax after a long journey.
Newly remodeled, large, and well equipped. Pleasant village location with easy access to Caceres. They had extra pillows. Coffee machine with capsules.
