What really gets your attention in the holiday apartment Duke is the cosy atmosphere you find in every corner. It is the perfect accommodation for a family looking for a quiet place to spend their holidays and be at the same time just 5 minute" walk away from the beach and the city centre. The apartment Duke is a spacious accommodation situated on the second floor of a building with a lift and it offers an open plan lounge-dining room and kitchenette, three double bedrooms and two perfectly equipped bathrooms. From the entrance hall we get directly to the lounge-dining room and kitchenette. It is a very bright room thanks to the fact that there are no buildings directly in front of the apartment. In the sitting area there are two comfortable sofas, one of them a sofa-bed, and a top of the range 4K SmartTV set connected to the internet to watch Youtube or streaming apps. The apartment has 3 bedrooms with beds for up to 6 people and two bathrooms.

The Urumea River separates Gros from the Old Town and from the City Centre by two different bridges, giving it an obvious closeness to them. It borders on the Bay of Biscay at North, on the Ulia Mountain at East and on the Urumea River and the Kursaal Convention Centre at West. La Zurriola Beach, the newest of them all in San Sebastian, is located in this neighbourhood. It is very popular among surf lovers and professional surfers and it is also just a five minute stroll away from La Concha Beach. At the end of the promenade along La Zurriola, at the side of the Ulia Mountain, there is an area of houses, pintxo bars and pubs called Sagües. It is a favourite spot among young people. There is also a great esplanade and leisure activity area here. There are lots of shops all around Gros and in the last few years, it has become a very popular area for those in search of good quality pintxo bars and pubs. However, if what you are looking for is to follow a complete route of typical pintxos, it is a must to finish in the Old Town, just a 7 minute stroll from Gros. There are some wonderful walks to be enjoyed from Gros to other parts of the city. For instance, starting at Sagües and walking all along La Zurriola promenade until you reach the Paseo Nuevo, a magic place when the Cantabrian Sea is rough. From here you can go up the Urgull Mountain, a mere 15-20 minute climb, then come down to the harbour and from there back again to the Old Town and Gros. A trully enjoyable all around walk. The Gros neighbourhood has several supermarkets and other grocery shops for those of you who prefer to enjoy a more intimate dinner at the apartment. If you are visiting the city by car, you should know there are three large public car parks in the area: Plaza de Cataluña, Kursaal and Txofre. Thanks to a modern and wide network of public transport, the Antiguo is very well connected to the other city neighbourhoods.
