Atlantis Surf Hostel, hotel in Moya

Set in Moya, in a historic building, 2.1 km from San Andrés Beach, Atlantis Surf Hostel is a guest house with a garden and bar.

Close to Moya where I had to go for a race. Rooftop with a nice view on the sea. Kitchen available . A bar/restaurant at the side but it seems only low qual fast food. Room had some space and things to put clothes.

“Villa Nena” Rural Chill Out House, hotel in Moya

Set in Moya, 30 km from Estadio Gran Canaria, “Villa Nena” Rural Chill Out House provides accommodation with a hot tub and a solarium.

Lovely house with perfect kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds. I was a little disappointed that there was no view over the mountains from the house - but a small walk fixed that. The host is nice and very patient. We set off the alarm by a mistake - no problem.

We stayed in Fontanales which is about 300m higher and 15 min further into the mountains from Moya. Fontanales is a small village it has three restaurants but only one is open in the evening. The other two seem to just offer lunch for people coming into the mountains for the day. Fontanales is ideal for a walking holiday in the central part of Gran Canaria with walking routes directly out of the village. Moya has more shops and resturants and is close to the Los Tilos ecosystem information centre.

A rental car is essential to really exploring the island, especially for fans of hiking in nature. The location is only about 20 minutes drive from Las Palmas and convenient to exploring archaeological and natural park sites in the interior. Every day was a lovely itinerary with several stops. Petrol is very cheap still €1.20 liter. Roads and drivers are challenging but not overwhleming.

A great place to stay with a large salt water pool.

A great place to stay with a large salt water pool. Toilets and showers near the pool. Unfortunately the large restaurant on the beach we saw in 2017 has closed. There are several snack bars serving simple local dishes. El Charco and El Oleaje were excellent value. It does get very busy around the pool with locals on Sundays. A nice walk on flat ground runs along the road to San Felipe, past the very busy motorhome camping site. Moya has a bus stop for the local bus. Easy to find by car from the airport. I would return to this area.

The community of Moya spans a large area from seaside to up in the mountains. There's a variety of small and quiet villages, and the town of Moya itself. The latter is a local mountain-town, with little tourist facilities but a few great restaurants for local cuisine. The seaside has a few rocky beaches and some fine restaurants as well, but due to the rather wild ocean surf is not the best place on the island for a beach outing.

The owner of Jacio House is realy great, welcoming and helpfull. He transfered us from the airport to the Jacio House by himself (50 EUR). Also we agreed about the transfer to Moya next morning. Also he suggested us a good restaurant in walking distance, that we still open in the late evening. Jacio Houce lies near really picturesque village Pagador with white houses on the cliff at the Ocean coast. Hostel has a nice outside terrace with beautifull Ocean and village view. And there is even small outside pool.

It is the best hostel on whole island. You can really spend here your whole trip - location is really good so you can catch buses and get all around the island. Acomodation is amazing looks like hotel not hostel at all. I didn't believe so good reviews but it is honest true. There is nice restaurant so you can enjoy discount. The whole place was just amazing. Definitely going back. Hardly recommended. There are natural pools all around.

If you weren't in a bunk in a dorm, you'd think you were in a boutique hotel : beautiful building, high ceilings, old tiles, fancy bathrooms, the comfiest, widest bunk bed I've ever slept in with lovely linen. Fantastic roof terrace with groovy lighting & sofas. Huge, well organised kitchen & dining room. Free Redbull. Near the beach & bus stops. Really spacious bedroom. Can use the pool in the posh hotel below.

Lovely home, super spacious with all kinds of cooking amenities, comfortable beds, free parking in front. The host left us snacks and drinks which were very much appreciated by us considering our late arrival. The village of Moya itself is very charming and a perfect starting point for exploring the north of the island. We had a great time, thank you! Highly recommend the place.

Spacious, quiet, comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with an induction hob and good quality pots and pans - it made cooking a pleasurable experience. The apartment is right in the middle of Moya, with access to some hikes from the town. The owners are very responsive and provided us with a gift basket, fruit and some wine and beer - a lovely touch.

A perfect place to stay. Clean, spacious, beautiful location, friendly staff, fresh oranges from the garden. The house is located in the rural outskirts of Moya, in a natural mountainous area. We loved the place which is suitable for families and those who wish to tour the island of Gran Canria. The house is 1 hour plus from the airport. We would visit again.

I have no complaints. This hostel really feels like a hotel. Profesional staff and service. Clean and convenient. You have good transportation to Las palmas with the busses so you feel close to the city even tho you are not close to turism. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
