Accommodation is located half a mile fro Cruz de Tejada and was a much welcome stop as the weather changed during my trek across the island. Friendly local shop for groceries. Tejeda is a wonderful base for hiking.
Tejeda is a wonderful base for hiking.
Personally, I love sitting on the balcony for my morning ritual — freshly brewed coffee and pastries from the nearby bakery — before lacing up my hiking boots and setting off immediately without having to drive anywhere first.
Of course, the village gets quite busy during the day due to day-trippers, but in the evenings, almost all the tourists are gone, leaving only the few who are staying overnight.
It creates a wonderfully relaxed, calm, and decelerated atmosphere. The Paladar restaurant is still open late, serving as a gathering place for locals, and it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal.

Tejeda is a lovely mountain town.
Tejeda is a lovely mountain town. The town is well maintained with lovely white houses, public park and free parking. Amazing views from there and great hikes. Our stay (2 nights) was way too short!

Many restaurants. On new years day only a few of them were open. Maybe the restaurant we choose was understaffed, we had to cancel our orders after waiting for more than an hour, without getting anything to eat.

Tejeda is surrounded by great walks in complex scenery.
Tejeda is surrounded by great walks in complex scenery. The village is located in a giant 20km diameter volcanic caldera with many rocky ridges around. The historic village is lovely, with lots of public parking available. Do leave plenty of time to travel there though as the roads to get there are tortuous, narrow, winding and slow. Therefore it's well worth staying a few nights in the place. Amazing and unusual place, well worth visiting.

The mountain guide, Piergiorgio Pallara, chose a fantastic route for a pleasant hike near Tejeda. Another day we hiked from Texada Hostal to Artenara. After a day of hiking we enjoyed fine meals in Tejada’s restaurants.

Tejeda is one of the most beautiful villages on the island.
There's plenty of restaurants - also open in the evening (which is not obvious as a lot of them close at 17:00) and one of the best "dulcerias" of Gran Canaria.

Rustic cite studio apartment with epic wotld class views from it own private balcony. Great price and in the heart of the Town with easy access to the restaurant, shop, views and parking. The owner was lovely and super supportive. We will be coming back here when we return the phenomenally magical Tejeda!

Great location. Alpine lodge vibe made it feel cosy. Breakfast was basic but no complaints, fresh scrambled egg made to order. Restaurant was fine for evening meal, but quite rich. You can go to the restaurant at Parador for a dinner with a view over the mountains.

Lovely spacious apartment in excellent location on the Main Street in Tejeda with restaurants and bakers a few meters away. There was a small balcony with a fantastic view of the hills. Easy check in with good communication.
