Almaden is a mining town, has some lovely features , we wanted to go down the mines but the web info is not specifuc, there are only two entry times 10.30 and 3.30 if you miss these by even five min you cannot visit , .Still worth a visit to the town .Guest review byAnonymous

The owner, José Antonio, went far beyond what is usual to help us, and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel itself is like a museum, with something exciting to see at every turn. José Antonio is the most courtly, polite, and knowledgeable gentleman, with such excellent conversation skills. I was met by the host, Jose Antonio, at appointed time and shown the room, Indeed the host upgraded my room. A lovely building with a great charm very much supported by the host's continuing attention to detail. A light but good breakfast each morning. Perfectly located near the mines and close to the village center. Sleeping in the house gives you the sensation of living true history!
