We used this accommodation as our home base for several day tours in the Finnish lake region, and we do not regret it for a small moment. A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils.
The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere.
I would most definitely book here again.

In Lappeenranta, we particularly liked the harbor and the fortress. Otherwise, we mainly used the city as a starting point for trips and hikes along the shores of Lake Saimaa. Lappeenranta is ideally located for this. The environment is really beautiful.

There is something magical about Lappeenranta.
There is something magical about Lappeenranta. Such a beautiful place to spend summer. So much to do and see, yummy Finnish foods from the satama, loved the sandcastle sculptures. E-scooter rides were great fun and a visit to the market for fresh strawberries and peas is a must.

The breakfast was awesome, but the same breakfast every day was a bit too much for me since I was staying for 4 days (this was not a minus for short travels). the swimming pool and sauna were good additions to our trip.

interesting town in itself, museums, harbour and swimming beaches, plenty of shopping possibilities, small airport in walking distance to town centre (about 1km), hub for exploring the vast saimaa lake, starting point fo visa-free Vyborg or Sankt Petesburg cruises,

Lappeenranta is very beatiful and lovely city.
Lappeenranta is very beatiful and lovely city. Lake Saima and all around is very beatiful in summer time. All people are very nice. From here easy to access to Russia by train or bus. The hotels are very convinient. Must to see
Good value for money in a recently refurbished brick building that used to house local military functions. During our stay, everything was still almost brand new, with the exception of some dust on the night stands and calcium deposits on the shower floor (but I think we can chalk that up to Covid reasons). Air conditioning was nice and strong, and everything worked smoothly, including car charging (incl. higher power charging) next to the hotel building.
Spacious apartment next to lake Saimaa with all necessary things for a stay. Free parking, two bedrooms with their own balconies, AC was working properly, small porch with gas barbecue, all in good condition. At reservation we were somewhat concerned about all neighbors celebrating midsummer party. But our nights were surprisingly silent and no bachelor parties nor boring puukkohippa style games were played around us.
Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!
The basement house is really great. A full kitchen & nice bathroom with a shower with really hot water! A beautiful location across from a lake/boat dock. Easy parking & parking close to the front door to unload your luggage. A huge sun room. Close to the city of Lappeenranta, which is so beautiful!
The size (good size rooms and enough space for everything I needed) the location (at the end of the street, less neighbours and easier to find, nature all around), the fact that the rooms are upstairs, the kitchen was easy to use and had almost everything you need.
Really nicely renovated hotel in an old soldiers’ lodging buildind. Good location, near the center of Lappeenranta and also close to a beach. Superb breakfast. High-quality sauna space, as well as other common areas, including a game room and a cafe/tv room.
Beautiful and spacious apartment, very clean and very comfortable.Nothing to complain. The huge Tv was amazing for Netflix :)
Everything you need to prepare the meals are in the kitchen.Thank you !
Highly recommend this apartment!
A beautiful location, very large space, super clean bathroom, kitchen, etc. The owner has provided the apartment with everything you could possibly need, and was very friendly and helpful.
