Super nice & big apartment, with a lovely terrace and right in the centre of Alençon. It has all the charm of an ancient French house (chimneys, wooden floor in some rooms, high ceilings, etc), while being kept in a very good and comfortable condition.
Its very well equipped, with all cookware you might need if you want to have lunch or dinner at the apartment, plus they also kept some nice individual portions for breakfast (coffee capsules, bread, butter, jam, Nutella, etc.) In the kitchen.
It's definitely an excellent choice if you will spend one or several nights in the town.

I was there to go to the cour d'assizes and travel around southern Normandie. The town was extremely walkable with delightful shops and everything you'd expect in a smallish French town. Les Deux Marguerite shares space with the Chateau des Ducs, part of which dates to the 12th century and has a lovely park. Don't forget Pedro's, the chocolate shop and tea shop where I took afternoon tea and met Pedro's wife and business partner, Huguette. Three generations of absolutely delicious chocolate. There's an impressive cathedral, the river Sarthe and La Briante, a delightful stream/brook that runs by the chateau de Ducs and Les Deux Marguerite. I really need to go back there.

This hotel is long overdue for an overhaul, room needs redecoration and updated facilities.
We have stayed here four times a year for at least 10 years as it’s so convenient for the A28. Perhaps it’s time to look for another option!

The cheaper accommodation is just that, cheap and cheerful.
The cheaper accommodation is just that, cheap and cheerful. However, the previous time I stayed in Alencon, I stayed in a very nice chateau right in the centre, at a reasonable cost. The city centre is charming/historical and there are plenty of places to eat/drink.

There was a very French enregy about the place with tree lined boulevards and pavement cafes. Numerous boulangeris and so no trouble if you are self servicing your breakfast. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and buildings of architectural interest. There was also the feeling of a university town.

A very dated hotel, room was smelling of damp and the table lamp and curtains were dirty. The hotel grounds were unkempt and in need of care. Disappointed as we have stayed a lot at this particular chain and have noticed a general decline in their standards.
On the plus side the restaurant could not be faulted food was excellent.

Hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre.
Hotel was within easy walking distance of the centre. St Therese's family home. Nice square near the basilica. Need to book ahead for restaurants to be certain to get a meal. Very nice part of the world with excellent motorway communications. Good place to stay before catching ferry back to UK.
We absolutely loved this hotel which is very central yet private and peaceful. Caroline greeted us so warmly and made us feel at home immediately. She gave us some restaurant suggestions for dinner that night and then booked a table for us. The attention to detail in our room and in general was exceptional - all our needs were catered for. We would absolutely recommend this hotel.
Perfect location. Who wouldn't want to stay in a beautiful park in a place that became home for me for a few days while I traveled around southern Normandie. Stephane Guy was a wonderful host and even offered to help me get to the gare d'Alencon. I hope to get back there. Oh, and I enjoyed the breakfast, delicious baguette, homemade jam and wonderful coffee. Gorgeous!
This hotel is well situated, our ground floor room was a good size, high ceilings and beautiful large windows. Very clean and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very good. The outdoor space and garden is a little haven. We liked the secure parking. The staff were helpful and approachable. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
Have been to Campanile Alencon on quite a few occasions already and return each time as it is convenient for our route (just off the motorway), the price is good and the room offers wi-fi, the beds have always been comfy and there is either air con or heater depending on time of year. Staff very friendly and helpful.
A comfortable stay. Rooms basic but have everything that you need. Tea and coffee making facility a bonus for a budget hotel. All rooms on the ground floor and plenty of outdoor space (great for a dog owner). Only 5 euros a night for dog. Very good breakfast. Staff friendly.
Location was tranquil but close to amenities. The owners were exceptional so friendly & the evening meal & breakfast were delicious. My husband watched France playing in the Rugby World Cup with the owner which was an added bonus. Could not fault it & will definitely stay again.
Huge quiet (second floor) room in old house with parking on site and a garden you can sit in; all rooms are large.
Very close too all amenities in Alencon which is a lovely town, which made a great stopover travelling through France.
Excellent staff very friendly and helpful especially Rafila couldn’t do enough for us looking forward to going to Alencon again soon will definitely be staying at Ibis hotel so clean and the beds are really comfortable
Stayed here before due to its location which is excellent. Simple and comfortable rooms, the beds have always been great. Aircon and heating always available. Will continue to use Campanile Alencon.
I wanted to say how lovely the hosts of this hotel are. They work very hard and are very accommodating and friendly. I can’t praise them enough for their kindness and helpfulness. Merci beaucoup!
Convenient location to break up a long journey from the UK to South-West France. Modern property. Buffalo Grill right next door. Friendly reception staff. Good air-con. Comfy bed.
Pet-friendly and functional hotel with a kind host who stayed up to welcome us when we’d been delayed en route. Safe, off-street parking was very welcome and a nice breakfast.
