What a wonderful surprise to stay on a working champagne house where everything was perfect, owner wonderfully hospitable and accommodating and room delightful. Loved it all
Wonderful location - great views of the vineyard . Peaceful and comfortable surroundings. Close to motorway and to Reims.
Nowhere to eat locally we were directed in to Reims for dinner .
The location was terrific, next to a champagne factory and overlooking their vineyard. Staff were welcoming and pleasant, room was rustic and comfortable. After a long day we arranged our own food and had a great picnic on our terrace overlooking the vines and church, together with a bottle of their excellent champagne - wonderful!
Apparently no decent restaurants nearby, hence the picnic.
Great views of monastery and fields. Peaceful location handy for Reims. Good room with clean linens. Friendly staff.
Difficult to find anyone to check in. Rooms not very luxurious given price. Minor points - overall great.
The owner was so helpful and the accommodation was perfect.. The views were amazing would definitely go back.
Very convenient location, just off the autoroute, which is what we wanted as a stop over on our way to Germany and Italy. Peaceful surroundings and pleasant enough people, but could do with a bit more ‘verve’, as the place has a lot of potential for more than just an incidental stopping place in the Champagne region.
The breakfast was pretty minimal and not particularly inspiring, even for continental standards.
spacious modern rooms in an old building which has been renovated. Only downside is no food on site except for breakfast so we had to travel for tea. Reims was however lovely so glad we were made to travel in
No food or bar in site
Absolutely everything. The place is lovely and the staff amazing. Great breakfast too and only just under 3 hours from Ferry.
Having to leave.
It's beautiful setting and well preserved old structures of the farm house. They also care to make a tiny display gallery at ground floor to show the farm equipment used decades before. That made the hotel very unique.
Great room, fabulous bathroom, nice beds and linen, very quiet location just off the motorway. We enjoyed a glass of the house champagne when the kids were tucked up in bed in the loft room upstairs! This was the perfect way to finish off our trip.
Excellent location near a beautiful quiet village, and overlooking a vineyard. Superb! And the hosts were wonderful, so would return again if chance would have it.
Location, degustation of champagne as it is on the site of a vineyard
Owners were friendly and helpful. Beautiful location.
Location. Helpful staff.
My mother had a ground floor disabled friendly room but the breakfast was served on the 1st floor with no hand rail on first part of the staircase. As the property was a champagne producer a nice touch would have been a glass of champagne with breakfast, then my rating would have been even higher!!
Arriving at Le Clos after a long journey was like arriving in paradise. We were treated like family by the charming family. The sun shone - we ate on the terrace - had a free tour of the wine cellar with free tasting and champagne. We were able to walk in their grounds and explore the village on foot.
It was quite difficult to get something to eat in the evening but finding the restaurant added to the experience.
We loved our stay here. The setting was beautiful and the hosts Nicola and Naty were friendly and helpful, going out of their way it make our stay as nice as possible. The room was very clean, with access to the garden. Great variety at breakfast. We had a personalized tour of the champagne facility on the estate and a very enjoyable tasting. We highly recommend this place and will certainly return.
It was very hot -- air conditioning would have been wonderful -- but the fan provided did help.
Its location quiet rural area not far off the motorway convenient for onward travel as an overnight stop.
Nearest food a bar in the local village serving wood fired pizza's. No facility for evening food or bar. No T or coffee facilities in the room.
The location is lovely with view of the vineyard and very quiet.
The breakfast selection is very basic. We booked a room with a double bed, we ended up with with two old and uncomfortable beds.
Location. Owners. Very good breakfast. Cleanliness Good value
Room was clean but spartan.
Needed better bedside lights, and lighten in room. Multi plug for charging devices would be good. Some more rugs or carpet would help the acoustics be softer, very loud at the moment. More visitor info in room would be good.
That we didn't stay long enough.
All was great. Greeting was lovely even though it was pouring with rain. Location fantastic. Breakfast great. Looking forward to going back. Bought some champagne. Looking forward to trying it. Will return whatever.
No food nearby although we maybe arrived too late and the nearby restaurant was under some pressure as the Tour de France was passing through the village in the morning.
Quiet location and beautiful views
Broken bed. Expensive water bottle. If they did not charge for a water of bottle (3 Euro), I had bought a box of champagne.
No local eating places. After driving all day, one needs local facilities
