Hotel is in a good location, just a short walk from a large selection of bars and restaurants around Place Plumereau. Onsite parking is a bonus, especially on a motorbike that you would rather keep somewhere secure overnights. Staff friendly and room was what you'd expect for the price - clean and functional.

Tours is a nice walkable city. The 'old town' is picturesque and the more modern side has lots of shops. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. There are lots of tourist attractions including gthe cathedral of course. Also there is a large tourist office with helpful staff to help organise day trips to Chateaus etc. Transport links are very good with a station close to the city centre.

It was very easy to find the hotel, even though it was in the middle of the city. The hotel sent directions in advance of adjacent underground parking which was a real help.
We recommend La Plume Blanche in the Place Plumereau

Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out...
Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out along the Loire river. The trams and busses are easy enough to figure out. The brochures describe the 'gastronomic' experience that awaits, but that must apparently be researched and booked in advance. Strolling around the old medieval streets without a booking, we found more kebab shops and bars than gourmet restaurants, but perhaps we were in the wrong place.

Tours is a fantastic vibrant town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back.
We stayed at Castel Fleuri which is a ten minute walk away and is exceptionally good.
The staff are very welcoming and provided us with a map of Tours which was great.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tours as an overnight stop to break your journey or for a longer stay to explore and enjoy.

Tours was a wonderful city with a lively night life, historic sites and lots of high quality wine and food at every turn. There was very little car traffic in many parts of the old city, so walking around, is great. I’d love to go back and explore more.

I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire...
I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire valley up and down by train and bike. This did work out, just beware of the train schedule. It is very sparse except on weekends. Tours itself turned out to be more attractive than I had expected.
The hotel was in a very good location close to the main square which is busy and lively.
The room was very clean and looked newly refurbished. It had excellent air-condition and double glazing, necessary with the busy location.
The breakfast was the best Continental breakfast we had in France, fruit, yogurt, meats, nuts etc - not just croissant and coffee.
The gentlemen on the desk was very polite and professional as well as informative and helpful. I am afraid we did not get his name.
My 2 night stay in Tours has extended to 2 or 3 weeks because of my husband’s hospitalisation. The staff at ‘the People’ have been very caring and extremely supportive in helping me with my difficult and changing circumstances. The friendly atmosphere around the bar in the evening provides a friendly and homely atmosphere. I couldn’t have hoped for more. They have been wonderful.
A beautiful B&B with beamed rooms and a lovely garden to sit out as it was so hot when we visited. homemade yoghurts and jams for breakfast, and some of the best baguette and croissants I have tasted (and I have tasted a few). A short drive from lovely Tours which has a million dinner options. The perfect B&B. I could even charge my car there overnight, albeit at 3.7kW.
The hotel is in a good location and has several parking spots, which really helped in this area because parking on the street was limited. It was about a 20-25 minute walk to Place Plumereau, the lovely square that is one of the main areas of Tours. The owners are friendly and helpful and gave us a lost of information about the city, nearby restaurants, etc.
Very nice surprise. Staff very polite. Good breakfast. Hotel is very clean and rooms very confortable. Parking facilities are one of the best in Tours. You have restaurants around within 2 minutes walking and especially one callled Au Bureau which is a brasserie with excellent menu. The place to stay for a stop to relax when traveling
The hosts Cyril & David were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast has an amazing selection. The place itself is very welcoming, clean and with a stylish decoration. The location is perfect in the downtown center of Tours. Few minutes 30 min car ride to the castle of Chenonceaux! We will come back!
Jean-Paul was very gracious to provide breakfast items (bread, jams, juices) and snacks for our 4 days stay. Kitchen was well equipped. The location was walking distance to the Gare de Tours, bus station, tourism office and good restaurants around, especially the Thai restaurant Isaan just down the street.
Excellent location right outside the train station. Superb view of the wonderful train station from the hotel room's window. It was the best hotel in our entire trip to France. We had a room for 3 and the third bed was placed in a mini separate room which provided more privacy.
The apartment was crystal clean, well furnished, and extremely well placed at the heart of Tours.
The process for doing the check-in and check-out was well explained andit didn't take too long to get into the apartment.
In summary, we highly recommend to stay at this place.
We loved the owners! They were so welcoming and helpful with maps and ideas of how to best use our time. it was so close to the trolley directly into the main area of Tours but was still private and peaceful! we also loved the homemade jams and yogurt!!!
Very friendly welcoming family property. We were given great advice about what to do in the area when we checked in. The room was very clean & comfortable. Great location with parking & a short walk into Tours. Would thoroughly recommend.
Second time I’ve stay at this hotel simply and cheap hotel, if you have ground floor room you can park your car outside room great for carrying bags, Small room but only stayed one night, great Wi-Fi, plenty of food restaurants near by.
The hotel was located well for a stop over on the way to Spain, rooms are clean & modern and are quite sufficent for a 1 maybe 2 night stay. We were travelling with a dog so dog friendly was a bonus too. Free parking 👍
Did not have breakfast but what a beautiful hotel in the best location. All the bars and restaurants are within 2 minutes.
Clean,tidy,modern,quiet ,just great.
Great location near the city centre and within walking distance from the train station. Access to (paid) parking right next to the hotel. Very helpful staff.
