La piscina è lontana rispetto all'hotel , a piedi ci vogliono circa 10 minuti.

The fact that we could load our luggage straight from the pavement into our junior suite! The road leading away from the Bistrot.

Lots! It was very expensive for this 'junior suite' 145.00 euros without breakfast, per night The suite was located on the ground floor with a window onto the road, a blackout blind coud be used for privacy but then the room got no natural light! The location of this room was no mentioned to me when made the booking. Booking.com described it as having a view. .The owner should have informed me when I called him to check on room details. To his credit, the proprietor did offer to release us from our booking when we expressed our dissatisfaction. The suite was not at all soundproof. We could hear the persons in the room above relieving themselves! And to forget to mention the loud hum of the refridgetor from the room next door. It was not good! The cleaning service was below standard. Our booked for the New Years eve dinner, the only positive was that we enjoyed the company of a lovely couple at the table adjoining ours. The food was shocking and very expensive. We got the impression that the proprietor was packing us in to rake in the shekels! Sadly, I can't post pics on booking.com but tripadviosr will suffice. If you have to stay here, just make sure you get a room with a view and not the junior suite, on the ground floor.

The restaurant was excellent and very good value. The rooms had character and were a very good size, as was the balcony with our room. Bathrooms were spotless. The village is charming and well worth walking around.

The hotel is in a quite small and charming village. When we got there, the manager/owner was extremely nice, we got an upgrade to the studio room, which was fantastic - everything neat and modern. The village is well located, close to several small towns. The restaurant was also great, with tasty and refined food options.

Where to start?! Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The patio of the hotel is great, à la carte dinner delicious, service was very kind. We had one of the "classical" rooms, it was huge, beautiful antique furniture.. Make sure you request one like that. Last but not least, the swimming pool (which is located on another property of the same owners just outside the village), is the most relaxing place we've been during our road trip in France.

Couldn't check in until 6 pm. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend this hotel even with it's excellent restaurant and nice staff. The hotel was actually locked until 6 pm!!

There were three things I would mention. 1) we had the most surprising gourmet dinner in this tiny town and tiny restaurant! Totally unexpected, not expensive, extravagantly prepared and presented, charming but not pretentious. Each course consisted of mini courses of wonderfully complimentary dishes, most of which we did not recognize nor could we easily identify. This was our very best meal of many woderful dinners during our four weeks in France, and alone, insures our return. 2) The proprietor, Vincent, helped us straighten out a horrible mistake autofrance committed, leaving us stranded with our car 400 miles distant. Vincent is a cherub, a social hub for the village, and a genuinely involved concerned host. He manages the rooms and the restaurant with a mature competency beyond his years. 3) The pool. Vincent arranged with another resort the use of their pool for his guests. The infinity pool perches on the side of a sloping vineyard and overlooks the Luberon Valley below. There are huge pillow "clouds" to float on, and a grassy area under oak trees. The Provence sun sets over what were one roman villas and market towns.

We discovered the restaurant on our last night. A woderful pizzeria le petit luberon is five km away serving regular dishes such as lamb and salmon. We ate their twice fearing the 45 euro meals at the hotel. However, had we only known we would have had all our dinners at the hotel. People drove fifty km to eat there, and it would be hard to set a price on how much we enjoyed this experience. We were on the new side of the hotl and I would have preferred a room in one of the older units. Our shower however was amazing incorporating the latest European designed showere heads. Los of hot water.

Le Vieux Bistrot is placed in a small quiet village of Cabrières d'Avignon, on the western outskirts of Luberon and approx. some 6 km from Gordes. It gives you an excellent and peaceful base for exploring surrounding area as majority of places worth a visit are only hour of driving away. Hotel offers very nice, tasteful and good quality accommodation in a rural area, possibility of having small breakfast and tasty dinner at their famous restaurant, not to mention exploring their wine cellar. Possibility of using the small swimming pool placed at another property - not very far away from the village - is a definite bonus. Hotel staff is nothing but friendly, helpful, very flexible and most efficient, with monsieur Lantelme (the owner) being across all important matters should they require his involvement. We will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quiet break in Luberon (Provence).

The restaurant is outstanding - the hotel rooms are new, modern, clean and the ac worked wonderful in the heat.

Waiting for such a late check-in (6pm) is difficult as the village is very limited with access to any food, water etc. The pool is located at a different facility and requires a long walk to get to. (A map to pool would be great!) Village is very small with limited services/food - - Gordes is a must see and a 15-20 minute drive from hotel.

Nice and peaceful accommodation in the Provencal countryside. Good base for exploring Provence.

Even though Internet access is advertised, it does not work. Plan on being cut off from civilization. Cell phones work very sporadically. Also, surprisingly parking is a problem!

Vraiment très bien , nous sommes adepte des chambre d hôtes de charme et celle la fait partie des très bien je la recommanderai aux amie ,Un grand bravo aux cuistots le repas et excellent et le prix des menus est très correcte en vue de la qualité et fraicheur des produits le patron est très sympathique,

Excellent accueil avec un restaurant où on se sent comme chez soi très bonne cuisine. Chambre impeccable dans une battisse toute en pierre. Très calme et reposant Nous avons adoré la balnéo dans la chambre . Franchement, à découvrir lors d'un week-end cette hôtel d'hôtes vaut le détour et le restaurant aussi.
