The location is very good, the hotel is an old building, let say is acceptable for a night no more.
Premiere Classe Bayonne, easily accessible from the A63 and A64 motorways (exit 6), is located 5 minutes from the city center and just 10 minutes from the beach.

The staff were great, the aperitif in the club was good. Breakfast had many wonderful gluten-free options. The decor was weird. Louvred strips around the bathroom walls so you can see in and out. The room was small. The bed was low and not very comfortable for me.

Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable.
Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable. There are loads of nice restaurants and the people are very friendly. There are also a lot of nice little shops, and the market Saturday morning is lovely. You can walk everywhere, but there are also little buses you can ride for free. The rivers in the center are impressive and beautiful, and you can stay looking at the water for hours, especially when the tide water comes up and goes down.
We also took a lunch and afternoon trip to Guéthary (that a server at a bar recommended us), a tiny little town by the sea. Beautiful and really nice food.

Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque.
Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque. Great restaurants, and handy for the road south into Spain. BUT: parking is an issue. If you are staying in the centre, the station car park costs upwards of €14. If you like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner... otherwise it's a taxi at similar cost.

Very beautiful, authentic and preserved medieval town in the Basque Country of France. The downtown area is small and bisected by a river, it doesn't get much prettier than that. The food scene is fantastic, with plenty of Basque and French options - I'd recommend Les Tontons Flingueurs, and PATXAMAMA. Also, try the chocolates there, they are amazing! (L'Atelier du Chocolat, Chocolaterie Puyodebat). The ritzy beaches and charming old town of Biarritz are just a 15-minute drive away.

The atmosphere around city helped to make a very enjoyable stay ,both sightseeing and visiting bars and restaurants. A bus/tram has improved greatly link between Bayonne and Biarritz allowing visitors to spend time on beaches without actually staying there.

We only stopped during a trip from Northern France to Portugal. We didn't see any of Bayonne. We chose the hotel as it was just off the motorway and good for quick access back on the motorway the next morning.
Property comprised of a self catering unit, outside of the main house.
You can sit outside outside of your self catering in the garden.
Although we did not use the kitchen, it seems to have all you need to make your breakfast and dinner.
Owner is very friendly and very helpful in guiding you to find good food and places to see and things to do.
Will recommend and would like to stay when we are back in the Bayonne area of France.
To be able to stay in a private home, on the river, in France was a dream come true for me! The hosts were perfect --welcoming, helpful, thoughtful, but unobtrusive. They seemed as if they enjoyed their role. The boat was lovely; my room included a private patio with full view of the river and the steeples of Bayonne. The full breakfast, beautifully served out-of-doors, included everything a sojourner needs to start the day.
There is little not to like about the Hotel Cote Basque, it is located at the foot of the main bridge into old Bayonne and next to the Gare so an excellent location
The staff could not have been more helpful, they accommodated storing my bicycle and gave me advice on where to eat
The room was perfectly comfortable and roomy
I’d recommend for any short stay at Bayonne
Room - OK
Bathroom -Ok
Breakfast - not that good
Evening meal- Non existent. Friday night is bingo night so no restaurant open just a bowl of chips and a couple of small snacks
I appreciate its good to do something for the locals but it’s a hotel that travellers need to be able to access proper food after long journeys.
Beautiful hotel, artfully decorated in a great location, just over the bridge and a short walk to train station. Very comfortable bed, good sized room and bathroom. Hotel had a restaurant and very nice har area. Staff was very helpful with advice on best way to go to Biarritz.
Great find in Bayonne. Very modern, spacious, comfy (good bed) and clean. Well equiped kitchen. Bus stop to Biarritz on door step was great.
Great location minutes walk from town. Cedric very easy and friendly to deal with.
Bayonne is a beautiful city and this hotel is ideally placed to explore! The hotel staff were brilliant, the breakfast just perfect and the room very comfortable. Just a great place to stay!
Stayed too short to have much impression, but everything was super convenient including breakfast and parking. Would definitely return if staying longer in Bayonne.
