Everything, the receptionist were helpful and patient when I tried out my French speaking skills! They explained where everything was. Our room (suit) was nicely decorated, clean, spacious and the shower was warm. There was shower gel and shampoo available plus a coffee machine, safe and hairdryer. The bed was very comfortable. There were great views from the windows. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast, including scrambled egg and bacon.
The location was in a quiet street with off road parking (at a cost) which we used as we had bikes on the back of our van. It was roughly a 40 min walk to the old town of St Malo along the beach front, a perfect spot to watch the sun setting.

I really like this place, everything about it. I could use the Internet fine, vpn back home just fine. I could plug my portable media centre into the TV and use that just fine. It's location is right next to some shops on one side, over the road more shops and straight in front is the Panda restaurant place and yet more shops. It's our go-to place in St Malo now. If you can not park at the hotel as the car park is small, there is more than enough parking around for you to get a space and walk 2 minutes back. Bit noisy in the mornings where our room was right by the main door, but being busy is the mark of a good hotel, and it was kids making the noise most days so I can't blame them for that.

One of the major seaports connecting France and England, Saint Malo is Brittany’s most visited town and a tourist destination in its own right.
The Old Town overlooks the English Channel and is completely surrounded by restored walls. You get a great view of them if you arrive on the ferries from England to St Malo (either direct or by the Channel Islands). Once an island, this citadel now shelters behind it the hundreds of sailing boats bobbing in the modern harbor.
Within the Old Town are bars and restaurants serving oysters from nearby Cancale, and many of the St Malo hotels. The most notable sights are the cathedral with its colorful, stained-glass window, and the castle - site of the town's museum.
The beaches are sandy, though the water is somewhat bracing. A causeway leads to Grand Bé, a rocky island housing the tomb of Chateaubriand, its most famous son. To the south is the 14th-century Solidor Tower, a remarkable collection of artifacts from voyages around Cape Horn. Further inland is Labyrinthe du Corsaire, a huge maze that will keep kids busy for hours.
In the Rance River, connecting the sea to Dinan, is the world’s first tidal power station. The road over it leads to Dinard Airport, the closest to Saint-Malo.
Saint Malo is a must see in Bretagne. We spent hours exploring the castle wall and its staircases, which date to as early as the 1200s! The beaches are magnificent even in colder weather. You can explore it all on foot.
Saint Malo is just a 45 min drive from the Mont Saint Michel, which we also visited during our stay.

Outstanding medieval walled city rich in centuries of history. Inside the walled city is a beautiful labyrinth of cobbled lanes and alleys, filled with cafes, shops, restaurants and hotels. A truely unique experience that visitors should invest time to discover all there is to see. The changing tides and the effect on the local coast is remarkable to see. Best to visit at low tide.

Great place to stay for a few days.
Great place to stay for a few days. Nice safe beach with a seawater bathing/swimming pool. Top quality restaurants, nice cafes and bars. Good shopping. Tourist Office very helpful. Easy to get the bus/coach to Mont St Michel or to take the water taxi to Dinard for the day. Solidor a walk away for lunch and a stroll.
Typical of Ibis Hotels, this one has good staff, is clean, well maintained with respectable sized rooms. Buffet breakfast was pleasant, varied and I could have continued eating for hours if I chose to (I didn't, I'm fat enough already!).
Easy to find with public street parking outside or private parking in the hotel if you don't mind paying treble the street parking price.
Several good restaurants very close by on the waterfront or many a 15 minute walk away in the old town (but expect to pay top tourist prices).
The room, the bed and the bathroom, including a very comfortable bathtub, are very spacious. The location is perfect, which is of course also due to the fact that the old town is rather small within the city walls. It is easy to get to the beach from anywhere or to the centre of Saint-Malo. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel and the surrounding area are relatively quiet (which unfortunately cannot be said for the seagulls that make a fuss day and night :D).
The hotel is located in the beach of Saint Melo. It is clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. However, we had purchased one of the smaller rooms. It had literally no windows. So small even for 2 people. It was not possible to stand both for me and my wife at the same time. Considering it is quite expensive, the value for money is not good. If I go Saint Melo again, I'd stay in a hotel cheaper.
The hotel was lovely - understated luxury, a charming courtyard, elegant bar and comfortable bedroom. The bathroom was well-appointed and exceptionally clean. But what made our stay so enjoyable and relaxing was the wonderful attention of the friendly, attentive, warm and kind staff. Thanks everyone at Villefromoy you are truly the best hotel team we have had the pleasure to stay with in along time!
The hotel was ideal for us as we know this area by the marina well. 15 minutes walk to the walled city and very much a local area away from the tourists. The pub offers pub food and some nights have music. There's a restaurant next door that has an open charcoal grill and fantastic food. Book early as it's very popular with the locals. Also there's a good seafood restaurant near the waterfront.
The location is very convenient for those who want to walk around the wall of the old town after dinner. It takes 2 mins walk to a carrefour supermarket, 5-10 mins walk to the center of the old town. Will definitely choose this hotel again if I come back for the beautiful beach and old town! By the way, the speed of the wifi is among the best I have experienced in hotels in France.
Good breakfast, easy free parking right outside the hotel and kind staff.
Saint-Malo old town/Intermural and its beaches 10 minutes drive The hotel’s location isn’t charming but conveniently situated with a super market across the road and shopping within a couple minutes drive.
the hotel is located "intra muros" which means inside the fortified old city which is the best place to stay.
Diner at the hotel was excellent.
If going by car, make sure to book a parking at the hotel since parking spaces are very difficult to find in the city.
Location - right in the best bit of the old town, staff - Edward in particular saw it as his mission to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves, ate the greatest food and visited the best sights. The ability to park our car at the hotel was a welcome bonus.
A comfortable hotel in a spectacular beachside location in a pleasant suburb of St Malo. There are excellent restaurants nearby and the walled city is an enjoyable 30-minute walk away. The staff are friendly and attentive
The place is amazing and unusual, not just your regular boring apartment or hotel room. It's full of weird and beautiful artifacts and located in the heart of Saint-Malo. Very advisable for everyone travelling with friends!
The lady that met us was lovely, friendly and so helpful could not do enough for us. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in France. The bed was comfy, the shower was very good overall a great hotel.
Room very good, breakfast excellent for our needs, and easy to find a parking space outside the hotel - maybe becasue it was a Sunday evening when we arrived for the early morning ferry.
Really lovely hotel right in the centre of the walled city in St Malo. Nice spacious room with lovely little balcony. The staff were really kind and couldn't do enough to help you.
loved the location. outside of the old town so we didn’t have to worry about driving the narrow streets but easy to get to old town on the path from the hotel on the beach.
