Good value and a good location. Not the height of luxury but that's reflected in the price. Dinner was good - nice, lively restaurant and very good staff. Great view over the estuary. Very well situated for walking around the town and along the promenade.

A beautiful hotel, with a personal touch, The room was luxurious, spacious and comfortable with beautiful views from all the windows. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our touring bicycles were securely stored overnight. Breakfast was a combination of self service for breads, preserves, fruit and cereals, and eggs were cooked to order. The location to the town, beach and restaurants was excellent.

Breakfast was croissant, bread, eggs, tea, coffee , orange juice. Could have had cheese or ham as well. The host was very charming and friendly. The setting was very tranquil.

St Valery is a smallish place that gets very busy in summer, but April was just right.
There are lots of restaurants, bistros and other places to eat.
We enjoyed a trip by boat along the bay, it was lovely to see the place from another angle.
We were right in the main street, so everything was "at hand" and easy to get to.
Lovely shops, some of them rather pricey though, but well worth a visit
Parking is a bit of a head ache, there is only one free car park as you enter St Valery, but it is quite a distance, all the others are "Payant" and not cheap. However, if you are lucky you might get a parking code from your host, and that is invaluable. Much, much better than the "pay by phone" app that they (Parking company) recommend!

Very recommendable.
As fervent readers we would have liked some nice xhairs with reading lamps, or at least reading lamps for sofa.

Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is a very picturesque medieval town.
Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is a very picturesque medieval town. It has many restaurants and bars, and many small local shops to enjoy. There are some large supermarkets (Intermarche and Lidl) just outside the town. These are a 5 minute drive away or a 20 - 30 minute walk. There is also a local passenger train that takes you around the estuary to Le Crotoy.

The decor at hotel Le Cap Hornu feels a little dated and could do with a lick of paint but the staff were particularly helpful. Special thanks to Nathalie and Arthur at the restaurant and Delphine at reception. Remember to make a reservation ahead of your stay for the hotel restaurant and restaurants in the town. The pool was a welcome treat after a busy day of sightseeing. St.Valerie-Sur-Somme has a steam train which takes you on a tour of the area and bay which we would have done if we had more time. Nice to walk by the harbour and soak up the atmosphere along the main street of restaurants.

One block from the waterfront, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The bakery around the corner was great!
The house was large, bigger than we needed, but would be nice for a family. The little terrace was quite tiny, but private and quiet during our stay. There are few cars on the road outside, but you need to be sure the road is clear before stepping out. The house is full of lovely nature and marine photos and art. The kitchen had everything you could need, but the oven was tiny.
Easy to find with a warm welcome after a long drive with easy parking, and they have 2 EV chargers to use (best to reserve). The Receptionist showed us to our room, and also gave very clear instructions on how to access the hotel later that night using the gate key code and our room key for the side entrance. Our room was lovely with a large comfortable bed and good views. It was also very quiet and peaceful for our one night stay.
Used it as a stop over on route through France. Wished we had booked 2 days. Lovely welcome and a perfect location. Right in the middle of the town where there are plenty of places to eat. Market on the day we left which delayed us as we wanted to look round it. Recommend the breakfast at the hotel. If you stay here you cannot help but like every thing about it
This hotel offers a lot for 3 stars. It is in a beautiful rural location and you can walk to the beach in minutes. We watched a lovely sunset after enjoying an excellent dinner. There is a good sized out door swimming pool, table tennis, petanque, tennis courts all in lovely grounds. Rooms were small but clean and tidy. very good value for money
Beautifully decorated/furnished house with a fenced garden in an awesome location. Ten minute walk to beach/medieval walls and less to bakeries and restaurants. Two toilets (one on each level) and bathroom. Two twin rooms upstairs (steep stairs) and double downstairs. Very handy bikes and child seat (lots of nearby flat cycle ways)
Great family hotel in an old manor. The house is very beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly.
The territory of the hotel is closed during the night so it's safe. The village is small, cozy and have street with good cafes and little shops.
Nice and clean room overlooking the inner courtyard. The courtyard-side is crucial, because the front of the hotel abuts a fairly busy road. Super location near one of the entrances to the medieval quarter. Excellent breakfast and cheerful staff.
The owners, Max and Laure, were excellent hosts. On arrival Max provided us with a map and all the local points of interest nearby. I loved the idea of pre-ordering your breakfast on their forms the day before.
