Quality of dinner
The spa facilities were great and the sunbeds were cosy
Staff very friendly and atmosphere good
Breakfast not hot enough. Heating not working properly. One room too hot one room too cold.
Sauna Pool Heritage stone garden Great reading rooms
Cold room No hotel Wifi
- nice spa - quite good cooking to be English - confortable rooms - nice garden
- in certain cases the staff service was not satisfactory - some finishes of some details in the rooms were not excellent - the carpet at the reception was dirty - not possible to order food at the spa - furnishing style quite gloomy
It met our expectations in all respects
Charge for car parking
Ambience was excellent, staff most helpful and the Garden View room was very comfortable and pristine. We loved the marble bathroom with plenty of room to put our personal toiletries. The coffee making facilities were welcome and as the restaurant was fully booked we dined in the area near the Bar and the choice of food was good and charmingly served by the young waitress. Breakfast next morning was excellent.
I found the steps up to the front entrance a bit difficult and wondered whether you were considering a slope to help restricted capacity guests perhaps to the side so as not to spoil the look of the front view ?
Hot pool and leasure facilities good breakfast
I realise the library is for relaxing and reading however all guests were meeting up and whispering which made the atmosphere slightly awkward .some quiete music would be nice
The room was really spacious , swimming pool, thermal pool and gym excellent. Staff really friendly breakfast was amazing
We ate in the colanade which for a cold dark evening was a bit like eating in a corridor
good staff, food,room and spa.
Fantastic spa facilities - we didn't even bother going to the Bath Thermae Spa! This is like staying in an old mansion (which it is!) with all the grand fixtures, fittings & uniformed staff who were all very helpful and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast in the old ballroom - loved it!
The pool area needed a sweep and some minor repairs but was mainly clean and still gorgeous facilities. The food and wine is all very expensive so either be prepared for that or eat out. It's a 20 min walk to city centre. Downhill on way, taxi back ;-) approx £6
Breakfast was poor, although on making a complaint no charge was made for breakfast.
location,staff, restaurant,and facilities all good.
We particularly liked the setting of the Hotel and despite it being winter time, the grounds were still very attractive. We had walked from the train station and the footpath through the trees up to the Hotel was lovely. We had dinner in the dining room as well as breakfast the next morning. Both were well presented and enjoyable.
Our room was slightly draughty and the heating kept switching off, but otherwise it was very well appointed and very comfortable.
Parking charge! Checkout 11.00 instead of 12.00!
Staff approachable, friendly, helpful and responsive. Restaurant staff and food excellent. Location ideal.
Some loose fitment in spa area.
We ordered room service as gad a small baby and it was terrible. Tiny childlike portion of bland chicken curry for £18. Nobody would answer phone in morning for room service. If you want 5☆ please be warned that this hotel is not. Breakfast was not good fir the price.Spa was good though.
We loved the look of the place and location was soo scenic! Staff are very professional but at the same time soo down to earth and friendly. The dinner was out of this world and the spa facilities by far the best in bath!! Would 100% recommend this to anyone!! Even the different lounges were soo glamorous and beautiful.
No dislikes at all.
I was staying with my 3 month old granddaughter whilst her mother was at a "hen party" elsewhere in Bath. The staff were kind and helpful, especially the porter John. This made what could be have been a stressful experience relaxed and enjoyable.
The wifi was inconvenient having to sign up, so I didn't bother. I stay in hotels all over the world and usually only need to use the hotel password for free wifi.
Staff fantastic and helpful
Thought the room was a bit souless
Third visit to this hotel and yet again it was very good . We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant the first evening the food was good and the service . We love the spa here and always come home feeling totally relaxed. Already planning next years Christmas market trip.
This year the hotel was extremely busy and we felt the breakfast staff were over stretched . We waited a long time to be served our food and drinks and noticed other guests asking for their orders too.
The spa, lovely location and the politeness and friendliness of the staff.
On numerous occasions we had to wait, one time an hour for breakfast.
The beautiful building and grounds, the friendly and helpful staff. The spa. Just a short stroll into the city centre.
Felt the breakfast charge was too high and so didn't partake of it.
We were able to truly relax and enjoy the fabulous facilities
The spa got a bit crowded just before dinner
