Good location and comfortable room.
Sign up for wifi required too much input of information.
the spa after a long day out on the bikes. Brilllliant staff
The scrambled egg
The grounds are stunning as is the hotel itself - luxurious. The bathroom was amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was lovely to have the Spa on site. A very pleasant walk into the city of Bath through parkland.
The spa is excellent
Not cheap, but still good value for money

Location & room decor.
Electronic keys did work on first night and it took a long time for the issue to be resolved and a master key used to get us into our room. We had come from a long way away and it marred the start of the break a bit. We were told they would fix the door the next day whilst we were out but didn't. We had to go through the whole thing again....with a different hotel staff until the Master key was used to get us into the room. Bathroom was not cleaned properly from the previous guests stay.
Beautiful Hotel had the Downton Abbey effect and we would stay again
Had booked our stay with breakfast but it wasn't flagged with the receptionist. We had to produce documentation that we had booked breakfast which was a bit embarrassing with people listening behind us
Afternoon tea, even for limited scone and tea unnecessarly expensive and not value.
Staff and were facilities were faultless
Beautiful large comfortable bed. Very good en-suite facilities. Large variety offered for breakfast.
Room very hot. Room service slow at times. Service at breakfast fair but slow, wrong food given on occasion undercooked egg served.
Everything especially the spa
Walking into Bath each night was lovely but limited lighting so very dark in patches
Lovely looking hotel in a good spot! Nice restaruant with good food!!
In brief, I imagined for the money a luxurious no stress weekend! On the evening no one answered reception or room service for 10 minutes! Then we were wrongly told what wasn't available in the end I had to get dressed and go to reception to sort out the confusion!! The room was lovely but the bed was way too soft even for a soft mattress and we both sank to the middle of the bed (room 104) The next morning our first breakfast was the same with cold coffee and toast and uncommunicative staff!! Not a great start! I've had much better service from hotels at half the price per night!! Also I think charging guest to park in your car park when your paying them to stay there already is bad costumer service!
Lovely warm outside pool. Short walk to centre of Bath
Waiting to be seated for breakfast for quite a few minutes. Noisy air conditioning unit outside bedroom window. Spa facilities require a tidy up - some tiles missing, lounger covers dirty, wooden facings missing.
The conceige service.
The price for one night was ludicrous when compared to similar high class hotels within the area - In excess of £100 more and very poor value for money.
THE BEAUTIFUL LOCATION AND HISTORY OF THE BUILDING. THE STAFF WERE VERY PROFFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY HEPFUL IN MAKING MY STAY WONDERFUL. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND PLENTIFUL.
THE BATHROOM WAS LET DOWN BY ALL THE MOULD IN THE SEALANT AND THE FLOOR GROUTING NEEDS SCRAPING OUT AND RE-FILLING.
The courtesy and professionalism of the staff. No issue was to much of a problem
There was not enough tea / milk/ sugar in the complimentary drinks in the hotel romm
We loved the luxury & relaxing in the spa.the breakfast was excellent & service was superb.
Having eat a meal in a corridor with people wandering through in bath robes.
The Spa was lovely but looking in need of some maintennance
We thought the staff were a little stretched in the Restaurant impacting on expected service
The outdoor pool, well bath is just lovely and the whole spa takes all your cares away. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is ideally located to be able to stroll into the city centre
We were charged £14 for a vodka, lime and lemonade in the hotel bar which is ridiculous. We were told afterwards it was a doubles bar but there was nothing to tell us that before we bought the drink. Also you have to pay £5 a night parking which I think is taking the micky a bit
Spa very nice, restaurant lovely - good food
Pillows too soft
Comfortable beds, brilliant pool and spa facilities. Fantastic hotel for a short trip away and pampering.
Position excellent. Comfy bed. Staff hit and Miss. Concierge were great and very helpful.
Wi-fi poor and telephone reception not too good. A long wait for coffee in lounge.had to go to reception eventually. Cost of one croissant £3.50 very expensive. Had coffees and cakes out from then on.
