From start to finish our stay was exceptional.
I cannot fault anything!
We loved everything from the moment we arrived.
Wifi was poor but this didn't matter to us in any way.
We went for a relaxing break the pool area was so loud during half term - our fault we thought it was an adult only spa area
HEATING MUCH TO HIGH.
Lack of early morning teamaker in our room
I loved the relaxed environment , the TV has amazing channels , the view, the room , the food , the staff was super nice. We spent two days relaxing and sleeping and doing nothing hosnlty which was a plus if you want to escape everything and just relax. Everything we ordered from the kitchen was perfectly cocked.
I didn't like that pool area , I thought it will be bigger and more open, it's pretty small and shaded by trees which blocks the beautiful sun rays. It woul be better if they had more activities in the resort they don't have any. The food viraity isn't the best but whatever they cocked was better than perfect .
The room The bathroom The spa The food in the main restaurant The grounds Free mini bar Bath products
Service excellent, food fab. Amazing gardens.
Room stuffy, felt we did not need a duvet. A sheet would or light counterpane would have been perfect.
The hotel is a delightful English Country House Hotel. The staff are very polite and very attentive , our room was excellent, in fact the standard throughout the hotel couldn't be better.
We stayed one night for our anniversary , they were aware but didn't acknowledge it in any way. Taking the full charge at time of booking is excessive, so no cancellation policy. Not strict enough about dress code.
We absolutely loved our stay. The service and the hotel facilities were fantastic.
Service and facilities were great. Food quality was very good
Bathroom sink was dirty. Poor range on room service menu. Slow wifi. Overall overpriced
The setting, and the size and comfort of the room and hotel. The breakfast was well made, and the menu offered a fair choice. The staff were very accommodating, and very helpful.
Value for Money, and the price for breakfast isn't justified by what you get. We also experienced serious discomfort when, before we finally left to go home, a young couple behind us, in the lounge, were allowed to sit and talk loudly, and then just left to it when they started getting intimate with each other! This was in the middle of the day, with staff passing back and forth in their duties. This behaviour should be discouraged, with suggestions for rampant guest, no matter how wealthy, to take their married mistress's to a bedroom! There are certainly enough staff to monitor, and control, inconsiderate visitors and guests, especially with the view that Chewton Glen has an excellent reputation to maintain, and charges a lot of money for a privilege that should allow guests to sit and read in quiet and comfort.
Wifi was non existent
The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Food was delicious and hot and superbly presented. All the staff were helpful and courteous at all times, nothing was too much trouble.
Not being able to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room.
Couldnt say anything
The rooms are a good size and excellent standard . The health club cafe serves great food. The spa and outside areas are relaxing. Lovely grounds to look at and walk around.
The restaurant was very disappointing . The decor was awful - black and white wallpaper; silver handles on the backs of the chairs; arches in the middles of the restaurant, splitting it in two - which resulted in no atmosphere. I felt like I was sat in a corridor.
Simply everything....outstanding. You just have to try it. A treat.
golf, room, staff
hot tub was not hot enough at all. spa was great though.
