Location was delightful - view from dining room superb. Staff attentive and friendly.

Cold water pressure was low in our room - made the shower a bit tricky.

Standard room was lovely, sea view at breakfast.

The only thing that was lacking was the food in the restaurant, my husbands steak was fatty so over priced.However my meal was nice.

Amazing view from the hotel bedroom and the dining room. The food was good though prices a bit higher than I expected for a seaside hotel.

The extra bed charged at £30 per night for our 7 year old child was very old with little support to the thin mattress. Had our child weighed more then 3.5st the mattress would have sunk straight to the floor. I told the hotel manager as we settled our bill who did says he'd check it out, I would have expected him to offer a discount at least to compensate.

The claymore room had an excellent view. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Staff very helpful. The hotel was spotless and the food good. Comfortable bed and spacious room and lovely bathroom.

The bar was not big enough to accommodate all the people we could not find seats on two occasions. Our room was extremely cold and the heating was on only at set times the first of which was 7.30 and as breakfast was 8.30 not early enough to brave the bathroom. It then came on late afternoon for a couple of hours. We were cold most of the time.more a summer hotel I think.

The location and the view from the room

Wasnt keen on the bed, it was 2 singles pushed together, and could feel the seam in the middle when trying to sleep, a simple answer would be to leave the 2 beds but a full size matteress

The food in the restaurant was excellent. The menu was varied with plenty of choice and the fish was outstanding.

Executive room was a little disappointing. Bed was too small, toiletries were not re stocked on second day and drinking glasses were not left.

The dressing table didn't have an easily accessible socket, I had to crawl under the dressing table to plug my hair dryer in.

we feel for an executive room it was lacking in thing you expect from an executive room, when we spoke with you you said we should have spoken earlier about our concerns,we do not come away for a weekend break to be chasing staff for things that should be provided as norm, as for one small bottle of shower gel / shampoo for two persons and an empty tissue box one would expect a little more from the prices charged the central heating system sounded like a north sea ferry cabin with the engins running as for the gentleman who stated he ran a 20 bedroom hotel by himself in scarbrough he might want to practice what he preaches and put himself about a bit more to see what is going on in the establishment for an executive room it was lacking in things provided by other places we have stayed we feel for priced charged it did not reflect what we expected

Poor ambience, only one member of staff seemed interested in how we were enjoying our stay Uncomfortable beds Having booked a 2 night stay over the internet,the hotel contacted us to say that we would have to move room for the second night but that it would be to a same standard room i.e. premier and therefore the same price. However, the second room was much smaller (still had uncomfortable bed ), the bathroom would be impossible for anyone of larger "proportions"as it was tiny and required one to manoeuvre around with care. When it came to the restaurant, many of the dishes were not available and given our experience of eating in higher end restaurants elsewhere we felt the food here was nothing special and overpriced.

The staff are your secret weapon, they were very thoughtful and helpful. Your situation is superb, the views form the dining room are inspiring.

I was not pleased to find that there was no mattress protector just a bottom sheet on the bed. I could see and feel the quilting on the mattress. The bathroom was very nice but lacked a shelf for toileteries and the fixed screen on the bath made it very difficult to reach the taps without getting into the bath. There was a little alcove with a shelf, a stool underneath and a mirror on the wall. Although there was an electric socket there was no little strip light, so it was difficult to see in the mirror I did not like being served chips when the item I selected on the menu read 'New Potatoes'.

I was bitten by mites in the bed. Over priced food and extremely uncomfortable bed.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, very nicely furnished and decorated. The view from our room was fantastic - looking out over the bay. (We had a room with a balcony, worth the extra charge). Spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Bath filled very quickly with piping hot water. Evening meal was very good and on request the chef provided a selection of vegetarian options for me, whilst my partner enjoyed some of the nicest seafood he has ever had. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choice. Would definitely recommend a visit to this hotel.
