Score from 17 reviews Good
food,spa,room ,clumber park itself
surrounding locations don`t provide much interest
Loved the spa and facilities and the food was excellent
The service in the restaurant was erratic and possibly the staff were inexperienced
Staff addressed the problems when told about them
Room was not up to the standard of an executive room
stayed in one of the disabled rooms and the shower curtain was filthy and the sink is to small and is not very good for an able body person also staying in the room and would benefit from a chair in bathroom
Car park was fine. TV reception OK. WIFI worked but not secure
Location of Bedroom. ground floor front. Impossible to get a good nights sleep due to traffic passing on A614. Bathroom not up to standard. Evening meal overpriced. No offer of help with luggage. general lack of interest in customers.
The whole hotel is desperately in need of a refurb! The bathroom was filthy, cracked tiles around the bath, mould around the bath and shower screen, filthy shabby flooring. No basics like tissues, shower caps available. Carpets throughout the hotel in a shocking state. I would never recommend to anyone. At best this could receive a rating less than 2*
I liked the décor old and new mixed in nice and quiet if you want anything staff get it straight away I asked for room at back we got one so yes very happy.
Fast traffic on main road front of hotel.
Room. Very tired.
Food in the bar & breakfast
Rooms were shabby, unprofessional staff on reception, very noisy radiators, stained bedroom carpet, unsafe cables, scratched furniture, bathroom definately needs refurburshing
I thought the staff at the normington inn were very good, especially olly who was very understanding with regards my wife's disability. The staff who managed the breakfast were also helpful.
I was a little surprised with the facilities in your disabled room. The TV was poorly positioned over the wardrobe, making it difficult to access whilst other furniture was again poorly located and often ill fitting / too tight to the walls and toilet door. The light fitting had a green light in it which kept us both awake all night shining in our eyes. The second night saw us kept awake well after 12 midnight with several children making lots of noise screaming and running up and down the corridor. I tried to ring both reception and the office to report the issue on several occasions, but only got an engaged tone or no response. Since my wife had a stroke only quite recently the idea was to get away for a relaxing break, given the recent circumstances. Sadly this was not the case, hence this disappointing review.
Staff were well mannered, Building and surrounding areas
Could hear every thing that next door was doing as soon as we entered the room, got woke up at 07:00 from them talking, taking shower, tv and then hairdryer going off not at all happy.
We stated in an executive room which was great. The spa was great could do with a little more seating around pool.
We booked executive room, was spacious, comfortable and had robes, slippers and complimentary drinks and snacks which was lovely , very peaceful, and the spa is very good for a hotel well worth going just to it. Staff very friendly.
Food quality not up to the rest of hotel, and breakfast felt abit rushed as our cooked items arrived well before we had time to eat much of our cereal etc meaning we had to leave them, prob due to bad timing of waiting staff. Was not terrible it's just the rest of hotel is so good.
The noise was un bearable unable to get to sleep until 0230 and when again at 0430 not good at all. Informed the reception in the morning and informed that she would get maintenance to look at the window. How does that help me?
The staff were good the food was good the location was good for what we required The staff in the normanton inn were helpful and not pushy or quick they let you have time to look at the menu
I was expecting a lot more from the hotel it is little better than a premier inn but more expensive the hotel could do with a make over the room we had need painting the carpet in the breakfast room was well stained our room had no view
Nice hotel, clean, good quality in rooms and bathroom, good breakfast, nice staff, free parking - all you could ask for, really. Unfortunately we did not have time for spa and a swim...
Some noise from the traffic passing by at high speed.
Leisure facilities were very good ,and it was very quiet at night
Spa facilities on site Nice quality of food on offer Pleasant and helpful staff Although hotel seemed busy there was still a relaxed atmosphere
For price paid mini bar and toiletries were not re stocked on each day of stay Drinks a little pricey
the fridge, good idea with the complementary items. Nice lady at the bar and thank you for serving us and also the lady that showed us to our table at breakfast and took our order
bars closing at 11. Booked in January, still put us in the furthest room from main part of hotel. looking onto an electric sub station. Not many smiley faces.
The hotel itself was lovely, and the pool area also was a delight! I treat my husband to a weekend away, I was a bit worried on the location, but I needn't of worried. We brought our bikes. We walked a couple of the evening to the social club pub in Harwick village, so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be staying again, we chose a deluxe room. Car park a lovely size, they have a shed to lock up your bikes should you need it.
If I had to say something negative, then it would be that we felt the outside seating area wasn't that brilliant. There was a wedding on so maybe the other area is normally free.
Location and facilities
The food was good at the wedding I attended
The road noise in our room was very bad,the bar ran out of mixers and decent glasses.
Location, good food, and good service
Not having aircon
Staff and facilities excellent
Room very hot no air con, prefered breakfast when it was buffet style
