The Commodore Hotel Pleasant 6.1 We stayed at the Commodore last week. After reading quite a few bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was newly decorated, had new carpets, bed linen, towels, kettle, mugs and tv. The room was comfortable, warm and cosy. Full English breakfast was superb, eat as much as you want and lots of variety including herbal teas, fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts. The cook was clean in chef's attire, friendly and helpful. They also offer very reasonably priced evening meals and daily food package consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner all for £10. Good customer service - If you forget any toiletries i.e. toothbrush, razor, deodorant, ladies sanitary ware, the Commodore will happily supply these free of charge. As a frequent traveller, I can honestly say this is the best value b & b I have ever stayed in.
Park Hotel Good 7.2 Beds was comfortable and very nice homely lounge
The Stage Hotel Passable 5.3 Cheap large room location is convenient as the traffic isn't too bad on that side of Nottingham in the morning nice park across the road for a night time walk
P&J Hotel Good 7.7 it is near the jubilee campus...so nice...the staff are friendly as well...
Hart's Hotel Very good 8.5 This really is a special place to stay. Rooms are small, but it doesn't matter - the facilities are well thought out: fantastic shower, high-class toiletries, good coffee and fresh milk in the room. Staff are both efficient and friendly. Breakfast ingredients all really high quality - that more than makes up for comparatively small choice. I just love this overall hotel experience.

    Legendary City of Robin Hood

Famous for its association with Robin Hood, Nottingham is in the very heart of England. The outlaw’s legend lives on, with many city streets and buildings named after him and his Merry Men. A Robin Hood statue sits at the foot of Nottingham Castle, on a small hill with historic pubs built into it. Also cut into the rock are visitable caves extending under the city.

The Old Market Square is the largest in the UK and becomes a city beach in the summer, with rides and a small pool. Permanent fixtures are the impressive Council House with its Exchange Arcade shops, and the several Nottingham hotels with parking in the surrounding area.

During the 19th century, Nottingham was an important lace-making centre and many Victorian warehouses and buildings remain in the Lace Market area. Neighbouring Hockley is home to the National Ice Centre and independent shops, while the biggest shopping centres are Broadmarsh and the Victoria Centre.

In the western suburbs, by Nottingham University, Wollaton Park surrounds an Elizabethan stately home, while east of Trent Bridge cricket ground is the National Water Sports Centre in Holme Pierrepont. Sherwood Forest, Robin’s stomping ground, is near Mansfield, while East Midlands Airport is south-west of Long Eaton.

    • After reading all the bad reviews I was left worried about our stay however I was very surprised. Beds waa comfortable, hotel was very spacious, brilliant city centre location, very clean rooms, nice little toiletries and staff on reception and at breakfast were fantastic! Lots of variety at breakfast! Thanks for a lovely stay.

    • Location, near to Rock City and city centre, car parking joined to hotel. Large airy bar, good afternoon bar food, comfortable room. Staff helpful and polite. Check out at 12.00 gives time for walk into centre in the morning, car park ticket validated to midnight so possible to check out, load car and then lunch/site see/shop before leaving, Good selection at breakfast, always like an egg chef on hand for an omelette.

    • The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel was clean and had everything you need. The decor was fabulous, very funky. The St. James has a really central location, right in the heart of Nottingham City Centre. The beds were really comfortable and the classic bedrooms were a good size. Enjoyed spending time in the bar, again great decor and good service.

    • Highly recommended! Very close to the train station, bus station and City centre! Helpful staff and comfortble rooms :) Free WIFI in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Will Definetly stay there again!

    • The hotel decor is a bit worn out, but it is clean, the rooms are quite big and it is the best value for money in Nottingham city centre. The cooked breakfast is usually very good too.
