Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in our gorgeous bespoke Shepherds Hut. Hidden away and nestled in the greenery of the old branch train-line that stretched from Axminster to Lyme Regis in the early 1900's and closed in 1965. Only a 15 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the beautiful traditional coastal town of Lyme Regis. The hut has a stunning garden view along the old railway line and is totally private. Look out for badgers, deer and enjoy the being surrounded by nature.
The Shepherds Hut is accessed through a private gate and has its own lock box access. I generally leave guests to it unless they need anything, or if we bump into each other on the drive then it is lovely to say hello. I live in the main house with my children. It is completely separate from the hut which has its own entrance and is very private. If you ever need anything i am generally only a few minutes away!
The hut is not overlooked and is right opposite fields that take you along a footpath, past the pretty coloured houses to the town/ beach. There is a great pub and tea rooms within a few minutes walk. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. Lyme regis is about 1 mile away downhill, or you can take the slightly longer scenic route across country through the fields along the river Lym. There are local Taxis available but its best to book in advance if you can. If you need local recommendations let me know!
