Score from 22 reviews Good
Standard of room and comfort of bed. Ability to control the level of heat in the room. Friendliness of staff
Sliced bread for toast and cold croissants. The continental breakfast was very disappointing and lacked thought (apart from the twee unmarked bottles of jam/ ketchup)
Quiet location, ample parking, lovely building and features
The whole atmosphere of the Hotel
Ordered a beef burger from the bar menu at 12 pounds only to be told sometime later that they had run out!!!!
Pretentious dining experience for evening meal. High prices for low quality meal. Brushing off a few crumbs mid-meal unnecessary and in contrast to table next to ours the next morning covered with food and not cleared or cleaned.
Good food, Good comfortable bed, decent shower.
Restaurant is a little "stuffy" and needs some background music so you don't have to listen to others conversations! It's a little out of town
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent served in a great way. Very comfortable and clean room. Location was secluded, quiet and set in lovely gardens.
Only a minor point; corkage charge of £15.50 is rather steep.
Great setting, helpful staff, good service, pleasant room.
Bed left a bit to be desired, shower not for those of above average height.
everything except the dislikes on the right!!
felt the bathroom( mainly the floor) could have been cleaner, also things like light switches, and things people touch were tacky/sticky? If it were not for this the place would have scored excellently!
small room for money. curtain linings in shreds. cobwebs on window fittings. Could only use car to get to other restaurants, fair way out of corsham.
Room was very clean but on the small size. Breakfast was excellent.
The bathroom was very small and the shower didn't work properly most of the hot water flowed down in the bath and not from the shower head. Very noisy from the 'bathroom' next door....heard some one in the bath for over an hour !!!!
comfort, cleanliness, style
food expensive for portions given Wi-Fi not working
Value for money, beautiful house and grounds
Wifi very poor
The staff were fantastic and all trained to provide proper good old-fashioned service. Beautiful gardens and excellent food in the restaurant.
Having to come home!!
The buildings and gardens. The extensive history of the area that was available in the room was very informative - would of also liked a bit of history about the building
TV reception broke up on occasions - didn't use wi-fi but would this of also happen to that?
Hotel was ideally situated for visiting Cotswolds or Bath .. no complaints and would recommend this hotel. Didn't dine at the hotel so can't comment on food but breakfast was fantastic with a good choice to suit all.
Carpet on staircase was a bit grubby looking, and could do with a good clean apart from that nice hotel.
The Late Summer Barbecue and our other meals. Ample Parking
Our stay was too short!
Food was amazing, staff where very formal but friendly. Hotel was beautiful, wish I had more time to explore the grounds. The chocolate dessert was amazing!
near a4, very convenient and easy to find after long car journey. charming staff. glorious gardens/grounds. beautiful. breakfast eggs benedict exceptional.
sleep disturbed, would have booked elsewhere if I had known there was a wedding function that particular Friday, also in the garden rooms probably more noise as not sound proofed.
Quiet surroundings and very convenient for sightseeing in the area. Restaurant was excellent.
Thought the room was a little underwhelming and lacked the usual toiletries etc that you would expect from a room at the price paid..
Food, staff, grounds,rooms?
Comfortable stay in a quiet semi-rural location. Good breakfast.
The view from my room and the gardens were just beautiful. The food was very good and a credit to the chef.
The mattress in my single room was really awful and is easy and inexpensively rectifiable. It was the only negative thing about my stay.
The house, garden, , and food. Atmosphere, very nice indeed. Food excellent.
Room a trifle small, although adequate/ Bar staff need a bit of 'people skills'
